As popular as this site has become I don't think so. This is just some hoax news that is made to cause a big stir and get people to use the site more because what if it shuts down. I mean really as much money as this guy is making with the site people really think he is just going to say "Ahhh, heck with it I don't want to be rich anymore shut it down", LOL I don't think so. Any how I think it will be up for a long, long time so not to worry.

This is a COMPLETE hoax, as I have said at least three times today to similar posts. The rumour was started by a tin-pot website which is well-known for starting and perpetuating such rumours. Do your diligent research!

Highly unlikely that Facebook is ending. Why would such a massivly successful site close down? It is too profitable for the owners. No this is one of those rumours that fly around the web every so often...

N, as almost everyone has already said here- it was a hoax. Scary, huh..facebook is like connected to everything now. Although it had been the reason of some crimes, it really is a helpful tool in connecting with people..so it'd be really sad if it shut down.

Hilarious, just to answer your query facebook is now booming. Facebook's valuation is soaring in the wall street and it is coming out with public issue by the end of 2011.
