Do you follow for follow on Twitter?

I have had Twitter for quite some time now but I've only used it in spurts. I would post some tweets get two followers and then they will unfollow me. This has happened about three times. Recently I decided to use Twitter on a more permanent basis and have gotten six followers. I found that if you follow someone back they will continue following you. Have you had this problem? Do you follow your followers? If you follow me, @RickaisTech, I will follow you back.

I don't like to follow everyone who follows me. I used to, and was up to over 700 followers, while following about 750. Then I went in and unfollowed everyone I didn't personally know or those who I wasn't interested in, and my followers started dropping by a few each day. I'm now on a site that gets you Twitter followers (link on my profile) and will once in awhile follow someone from that site (you earn credits for following others on Twitter, also for visiting websites, watching Youtube videos, and liking Facebook pages.. you use the credits when someone follows you or visits your website etc). Those that follow me on Twitter from that site have not unfollowed me even if I don't follow them back.

I went to the site you mentioned and in a few minutes I've gotten about 20 followers, there are way to many people following me to even think about following them. Nice job on your recommendation.

I do follow some people back if I find them interesting. The only thing about people who look to do follow for follow is they post CONSTANTLY saying #teamfollowback or ifollowback, etc.

I have not gotten that deep into follow for follow but I used to follow my followers when I began.

No, not really. But if someone who I am not following follows me, I usually follow them back to be nice. It is really not that big of a deal for me.

That's sort of the purpose why I follow people. I don't do it anymore because of the many followers I get from a site that another myLot user suggested.

I only follow the people I'm interested in, and they're usually people with the same interests as mine. I will never follow someone just because they're following me. I'll check them out, and if they have a website or blog I may take a look if I think it's something I might want to read, but that doesn't happen very often. Some of the people who follow me turn out to be spammers or people trying to promote their own blogs or sites, and they always drop me after a while because I don't add them to my following list. I understand that you'd like to get more followers, but exchanges don't really work unless you and the other people have the same interests. There's no real value in trying to get a lot of followers unless you have something to share with them, and they have something to share with you. I don't know most of the people who follow me. I'm happy if they're getting something of value from following me, but that's as far as it goes.

Same with me. If someone who posts about football or any sport I follow them back. The only problem is that a lot of those users expect followers. If someone posts about croquet or another boring sport I will not follow them and I will just loose a follower.
