Have you ever question yourself about that? I usually hear my friends, colleagues, classmates, dad, and sister asking the same question. Calories, as the dictionary says, it is a unit of energy-producing supplied by food and is release through oxidation. I studied chemistry for how many years then, and so I don't think there is something wrong in eating much calories. Cakes, ice cream, soda, rice, junk foods almost every food that is out in the market contains calories. And so, some are so bothered thinking about it. What will happen if I ate much? If I ate lots of calories. etc. Well, if I were to ask, I don't think we should deprive ourselves from eating, it is our way happiness and pleasure. Like any other thing, all have consequences and I guess, eating much needs a lot of exercise and vice versa. The reason why people are so scared to eat much is because they are too lazy to move their body according to what they eat. Calories are energy, right? And so, upon eating much of it, of course, we must use it. If not, then, just like fossil it will be stuck and hard to eradicate.

Hey, So true. But i hardly ever care what i eat, as long as you can digest it you can eat anything! that's how i go by food, A heavy calorie intake must be balanced out with a regular exercise routine, if not its going to make a person fat. Have a nice day

You are right, but I don't think that it is about the calories alone. I think instead that a lot of the problem that people have is that they are not consuming their calories in the right way. You see, I try to get my five a day of fruits and vegetables and I definitely insure that my children get theirs as well. However, my two nieces don't have the opportunity to eat vegetables too often because their parents don't make them eat them. Therefore, I don't think their calories are spent as well as my children's.

I agree that we shouldn't deprive ourselves at whatever calorie-delight is out there. As long as our body can process it! That we digest it and burn by one form or another. This could be in the form of exercise. If we happen to take in more than we should, then we should make sure that we do a little bit more exercise to burn these up.
