Why is it that time is faster now than before?

Almost all people are always in a rush to catch up on something. Time seems to be moving faster ahead and it is almost impossible to catch up with it. Whatever you do, it seems you are always late despite of hurrying.
Do you happen to know why when you compare now and before, time flies more quickly now than before?

Time seems to be running faster now than before. This is so true if we are going to compare the time now versus the time during our childhood. Today (current age) we do have a lot of priorities, job, love life, social life, health, family, money and so on. All these things make our lives busy thus time is moving unnoticed. Unlike when we are younger all we probably think of is only play, play and play.

Yes, so true. Being busy makes time go faster than when we were children that we only wait for time to quickly pass by. Thanks!

Well the nights are longer nowadays so it gives us the illusion that time flies faster than in summer where we have longer days. Time flies really fast if you are busy or if you are preoccupied with what you do. But if not, time is just a drag.
