Colors and seasons

Hello girls,
online i can see a lot of articles about what is modern in each season. When i go out of home, i can see many young girls with make up, colors of clothes and whole look appropriate for the season - it's like all of that girls read carefully all articles and conform with the fashion. I'm not that kind of person. I like old style clothes, old style manicure, light colors for make up and i know that there is nothing which can make me willing to put pink electric polish on my nails (or orange electric), as example, or pink spiral for my winkers.
So now i want to ask about your style of choosing make up? Do you follow your favorite colors or you conform with the modern lines? 
I always used black or brown spiral for my winkers, the colors of my lipstick was always purple or some light blush, nearly invisible, for nails it was always light purple or some dark colors like green, because i love green, eye shadows - green or little purple, or the color of my skin...
So now girls are you ready to keep your old requirements for make up and to change your style?

I so like my styles and trends. I do enjoy wearing make-up and tend to like more the natural look. I like to coordinate my colors depending on what I am wearing.
So I like the lighter lipticks, blush but my eyes are always smoky looking.

It never means a lot of money.
Dont throw your clothes away, always keep them stored as they will always be fashionable sometimes later, I bought a fur gilet about 8 years ago and now im wearing it again this year, Plus polo necks you can never go wrong with a polo neck and it never goes out of fashion.
The only thing that costs me is shoes, (but hey any old excuse to buy shoes haha)

I meant more about make up, because colors are changing really fast, always there are some new brand lipsticks or shadows, more and more expensive on the good brands...
I don't like so much buying clothes and i throw them only if something doesn't look good for wearing anymore. I'm sport type girl with the clothes and only if the quality of one clothe is not good, the clothes are used like rag for cleaning.

Well my nails are barely ever painted as i type and deal with paper all day long at work and it comes off to quick as i do not have acrylics over my own nails.
For make up i always have brown eye shadow on then over that i use a light silver or pink for the glitter on my eye. For my mascara i use two different kinds on my eyes everyday to make them stand out as my eyes are big and i have long eye lashes so i try to get my eyes to stand out a little more.
Also that all i have and i use foundation and powder as well and then thats it for the make up. I use no blush as my face gets red during the day anyways and no eye liner either as i itch my eyes to much during the day and my eye shadow comes off usually anyways. Thats it for the makeup with me.

If it's about make up, we can't try it before buying, so i never know how i'll look with some color. I don't buy unknown colors, because i can't afford it, i prefer to buy something else, more important, because i'll be really disappointed if i buy something which i am not willing to use.

I don't want to conform to what's new since i am not young anymore and i think it wouldn't look good on me. I use make up colors that would suit me best! It could be the latest trend or the old fashioned colors, as long as it looks good on me i would try it on. But i am not eccentric, i would never try something that's really not my style!

Thanks for sharing Toni, i like people who has their own style and don't run after the taste of the others. In whole my life i've been that way, specially i like ladies who conform with their age, because there are a lot of ladies around who are not girls but use make up and clothes like they are teens. For me that's little embarrassing, because it means that the lady doesn't realize that her age is going on and something looks funny if the lady wear it on her age.

hi,
i only used very light colors of make up,
being a gay, i should not use heavy make up,just to show im still decent in the eyes of people.
i could be a clown if i could do that,LOl.
and i will wear light color of shirts,such as light blue and yellow.

I like dressing up and wearing makeup. I don't leave the house without my lipstick on. I like the dark reds. I am a traditional dresser, in other words, I like jeans, dresses and sweaters that are very nice fits and colors. I don't really follow what is going on in the fashion magazine or what I see the fashion models wear. Sometime the fashions are not suitable for me at my age. I think I dress very nicely and get many compliments on my style of fashion.

I've never really cared about which make up (or clothing, for that matter) colours are trendy or not each season: if I like it, I wear it, and that's it :)
For my eyes I usually wear dark grey eyeshadow and black mascara, but sometimes I also like to add a little brightness and use other eyeshadow colours, like purple or olive green, for example.
As for lipstick I pretty much only use that for chapped lips, which has no colour.
And as for my nails, I prefer dark colours (black, purple, burgundy or blue), but I also really like red.
So, I'd say just go with what you like instead of what's 'in' :)

I always keep my own claims first, because affording new and new make up all the time without knowing if it's going to stay good on my face and if the color will be good for me ... 
I agree with you, our own taste is much better than the fashion lines, usually. And i don't like to be like the others, like a sheep in flock.
