Selective indignation about violent metaphors in politics.

Apparently these violent metaphors are ok.. unless they were uttered by a Conservative. If they bring a knife, we'll bring a gun! Battle ground state. Carpet bombing a district. Scorched earth campaign. In the trenches. Escalating Attacks. Take up pitchforks. Bring the fight to... Campaigns are "Fights" "tough battles" "hard fought" "crusades". stranglehold Go for the jugular.

dont forget "boot on the neck of" It depends on who is reporting. It most likely depends on the maturity level of the person reporting.

They are fine for one party but not another, particularly if there's been an act of violence. You know what they say--people hate in others what they despise in themselves and I think this is a prime example of that. Of course, you won't hear much about it other than in the "conservative" media. That's a real shame. The "left" media has done more to encourage hatred and divide this nation than any politician in history.
