Offensive new commercial!

While watching ESPN in the middle of the afternoon with my two pre-teen grandchildren, a commercial for TheLadder.com was shown. It presents folks trying to make themselves as more attractive to prospective employers, but it is at best tasteless and far too explicit, almost perverse, for presentation in the afternoon, in my humble opinion.

I have to disagree. I thought it was hilarious. It didn't seem any worse then a baywatch rerun. If you overshelter your kids they will resent you and be more likely to rebel. It's 2011, espn isn't going to show commercials that are offensive to children when they have Disney week coming up in less than a month.
I'm sure this will get a negative from people that don't understand how ratings work. (See the FAQ) it's a risk I am willing to take to try and help some over protected kids. LOL

Hi, GS007, I appreciate that there are differences of opinion on such matters, in fact, I pointed out that it was IMHO. In even agree that overprotection can cause a negative reaction, but so can over stimulation. I am also sure that there are stages in life when children are not capable of comprehending/processing the things they see or hear. This commercial crosses that line for me.

Hey there.
Hope I wasn't too strong there.
I would never try to tell anyone how they should raise their kids. Or try to raise their kids for them. It's nice that you aren't allowing your kids to grow up unsupervised or on autopilot like so many patents today do.
Hope I wasn't too strong there.
