Sometimes the post office makes you so mad

I sent a Christmas card to my grandma in Maryland. I included a letter and photograph of her great grandson. The post office delivered a torn envelope to her the day after Christmas that was empty. It read "We apologize but this mail was caught in the sorter." Why did they even bother sending her an empty envelope? My grandma was understandably upset that all she got was an empty envelope that said photographs enclosed.

Caught by a sorter? I don't believe it. Here in Philippines a video shot in post office was taken. How they sort mails. There is one guys who are arranging the mails manually. After few minutes the mail was sorted. Guess what happen. The envelop is being open by the sorter. And he get cash from there. We also experienced this. A friend of ours sends a mail thru postal. A personal letter with a 5 dollar attached. We just know that a letter was send to us when he told us. It should be a surprised though. We were surprise we didn't receive any we've been waiting for it for almost a month.

That is such a terrible thing to do. They should've just called and informed her that the letter go caught in whatever, not send her an empty envelop. That's not formal at all. That's even leaning on rudeness. They should change that policy.

If it got caught in a sorter would they then not be able to retrieve it's content and place in the special plastic labeling then forward. I mean it goes through how many hands before it reaches it's destination and no one figured out the envelope was torn and empty. I am sorry but our Post Office is hiring more and more dummies each day. It would have been easier to toss it, return it back to you then carrying it on their route. Geeze...

Aw that is so terrible that something like that had to happen. I've been wanting to send things to some friends of mine around the world but with how much shipping is and things aren't even guaranteed to make it all the way there who would really want to send anything through the mail. It's so sad that it would really come to that.
