My family has outgrown our little condo, and I'm thinking of renting it out. The condo has decreased so much in value, it is hard to contemplate selling it now. I was hoping if any of you have any advice on where to start... books to read, or just some good advice about rental properties I would really appreciate it!

I recently bought an apartment in Vegas which I am renting out right now. I went in with a friend and we paid 80% of its value in cash so mortgage is so tiny its not even a worry. There is no point selling in this economy, housing will recover but not in the next few years. There will be a demand for more rental space needed due to the economy and people not being able to afford mortgage etc. You can go to your local library and look for books such as guides for renters, how to earn from property etc. One thing I can't stress enough is make sure you have a good tenant!
