Is It Cheaper To Fly Or Drive??

With gas prices unsurprisingly rising againnn it makes me wonder if you're better off flying? Now I'm not talking about driving cross-country but like I'm from NJ and I have family in FL that I've been wanting to visit for sometime. According to MapQuest Gas Calculator it would cost me about $120 each way. So considering the fact that I'm putting an extra 2,000 miles on my car plus the driving I'd be doing down there wouldn't it just be easier to just take a flight? I looked up on Kayak.com for a flight and the cheapest I found was $190 roundtrip which doesn't include baggage fees. So unless I decide to go with a group of people and make a fun roadtrip out of it I think I'll be flying from now on! :)
