"Never let a crisis go to waste".... Rahm Emanuel

The rush to get legislation passed is nothing more than politicians heeding Rahm Emanuel's advice. When emotions are high, it's easy to get things passed that normally wouldn't stand a chance. Don't let them rush bills through, don't let the true crisis become bad laws. Let's not let them get away with it.

Oh yes...Rahm Emanuel...my least favorite political figure. People need to remember we have the "patriot act", tarp and other things done due to knee jerk reactions to events that later turned out to be NOT a good idea. So I would say...take a deep breath...read the bill and then draw a conclusion based on thought instead of emotion.

Reminds me of the expression "seagull manager - flies in, makes a lot of noise, craps on everything and then leaves". Politicians are like that too. Let's pass legislation so people will think we're doing something. And then guess who ends up with the mess?
