Filing Sickness Claims/ Benefits from SSS

I have been sick again since October, my asthma has been getting from bad to worse and in spite of all the medication (antibiotics) it hasn't cleared up. So I decided to quit my stressful job and having nothing to do yesterday passed by the Social Security Services office in Quezon City. I inquired if I could apply for disability with my asthma because it is already chronic. The lady I spoke to said that I could but I needed to file my claim in the SSS branch that services my place of residence. Now I live in San Mateo, Rizal but technically speaking I am nearer to Marikina than the town proper of San Mateo, Rizal. I searched online for the location of the SSS office in San Mateo and it is near the San Mateo public market which I have no idea how to get there. It is no wonder that some people never get to file or use their benefits because of the hassle of filing claims for benefits that you have been paying for. Just a rant again on how inept our government services are and this is the internet age where it would have been simpler to file the claim in the main branch but they would point you to go to the small/regional branch that I would need to travel and find out where it is. Any Mylot member who knows where the SSS San Mateo branch is located? Thank you! Directions: jeepney, tricycle, pedicab instructions are most welcome. I would be coming from Concepcion Marikina by the way.
