Cheating on school tests

Hi mylotters. I'm a student of high school, and the next week I have to take the tests from all my subjects. Are 13 tests, 2 per day, and I know I have to study hard if I want to get a good grade. I've heard some of my classmates talking about cheating on some tests. I know they do it just because they don't want to study, because our subjects aren't too difficult. I, as a good student, don't think that cheating is good, but they'd do it anyway. What do you think about cheating on school tests? I personally think it's neither moral nor legal. Share your comments about this, and give me some luck for my upcoming tests. Thanks a lot.

Well you have to appreciate the art of cheating and not getting caught lol. It's high school; no-one cares. University is different.

I will not appreciate cheating as it is wrong. It hurts everyone involved.

The knowledge is what could help them when they get to University, they would simply fail all the exams there if the only thing they've ever learned at school is cheating, life would turn them back after some time. I do not support any type of cheating, it's always wise to rewise before tests. Best wishes with your tests.

Yes it is awful. People that cheat should be ashamed of themselves! I appreciate your honesty and pointing out why it is wrong.

Cheating on school tests is never the answer. You might get a good grade on a test but it is not one you deserve. You don't learn anything by cheating. it is not a good practice to begin.

yes my friend, cheating can gives them marks but, not the satisfacion. How many marks we can get by our own preparation can gives us so much confidence on us.... That is the good step to success.

A lot of students feel tempted to cheat once in a while. Most resist and do the work instead. Some students cheat once and feel so bad that they never do it again. Others get caught and decide it isn't worth it. Unluckily, some students start cheating and feel like they can't stop. Students who cheat may feel worried about getting caught. Whether they are caught or not, these students may feel guilty, or embarrassed, or humiliated — or all three. Even if the cheater feels fine or doesn't get caught, that doesn't mean it's OK. If you see someone cheating, or if someone asks to copy your work, you can tell a teacher or another grown up. Cheaters cheat themselves in a way because they don't make an honest attempt to learn as much as they can. For example, if you cheat your way through spelling tests, you won't learn how to spell. That can katch — I mean catch — up with you when you get older! And adults who cheat — at work, sports, or in their relationships — get into severe trouble, far more serious than a bad grade on a spelling test.

And we may loose our self-confidence because of cheating.

Well i think its more of a survival thing, specially if you have some personal issues and you have not got any time to review a few days before. Sometimes we do what we got to do to survive and i guess thats an instinct lol.

Students that are cheating just cheat themselves. They are studying every year just learning nothing. I am sure they won't be successful in their lives. But it depends, I cannot judge other people as well as I cannot judge myself. Cheaters will surely learn the greatest lesson they need to know. Like the common saying: "Cheaters Never Win and Winners Never Cheat"

I think cheating is a horrible thing to do. If you're doing it now how you going to survive in college ? You can't cheat on everything and they check everything you do and know if you'r cheating or not. These kids will get no where from cheating and how are they supposed to learn if their going to copy from a friend ? You're good on not wanting to cheat that's the only way you're going to learn is if you do the work on your own and study hard. Good luck on you're test and i'm sure you'll do fine.

During my school days I used to copy a lot. I never leaked out paper's or something like that. But during certain tests if the teacher's weren't very strict then I would take a sneak peak from my Friends paper or sometime I would take out the book from my bag and I used to start copying. All this involves a lot of risk and great piece of guts too. If you get caught you will surely fall in a big mess so the best part would be to study and achieve the marks.

I had never done cheating in my SCHOOL LIFE. because school days are golden days in our life. We have to learn purely, and write in the exam what ever we know. Especially in school life we can learn many things from the teachers in between the four walls. But coming to graduation, No lecturer can gives the support like a school teacher. So much depression(in many cases, not to everyone). So my friend, it is better to enjoy the school days, and do hardwork(littel bit) to get good marks. And with this discussion i am remembering my school days. Thank you, have a niceday.

What else would I have to say? They already took the words out of my mouth. LOL Let me just comment on something as you consider yourself a good student. I appreciate and commend you for being honest however it would be more commendable if you make those classmates of your realize their wrongdoings. You can advice or encourage them to study as you do instead of cheating and put their name in shame.

I've been caught cheating when I was in gradeschool. My friends and I decided to cheat but was caught by our teacher. We were graduating students at that time so imagine our fear of getting removed from the roster of graduating students. Good thing we were just considered first time offenders and it was considered a warning. I didn't cheat again. I knew it was wrong. But sometimes the evil in us prevails. I only cheated again in hospital duty around 2 years ago. It wasn't on a test. I cheated by forging a signature. I was reprimanded with 1 month extension. After all these years of knowing how wrong it is to cheat, I did it again, and what's worse, got caught again. So please don't ever ever cheat. There's still that very slim chance of getting caught but if you do get caught, the consequences are even harder. Just study hard and make do of what you know. That's enough.

Yeah, nothing bad about cheating as long you don't get caught. Honestly, be on the safe side you should still study. Also, preparing for a test and passing is, most certainly, an awarding feeling. Don't expect to get everywhere in life by cheating.

I DID cheat back when I was in high school. But I on did it about 3x. And I only did it on subjects that I really hate and very uninteresting. Not that I am advising you to do that too, I was just sharing my experience. There are just somethings that no matter how hard I try, if I am not interested, I can't understand it. Good luck on your exams!

Hi ricextreme, As you said you are a good student, I wish you be the same and continue to be a good student. Nothing is hard in life if you like it and love it. The same applies to studies also. If we are right and perfect in small things and we will be the same in bigger things in life too. Do not divert your mind towards shortcuts and cheating practices, I am sure you would not do such things, it is a brotherly suggestion. Do study well and practice for your exams since it is a school test though you score a bit less with fair writing you are not going to lose anything and it will encourage you, inspire you to come up in life with flying colors. Wish and pray you get good grades in your exams Good Luck & Happy Living Calpro

Just do as you do and stay honest and study hard, do not envy or emulate people who do bad, sometimes fear creeps into us that they will get better grades, beat as so the thought of being dishonest ourselves to get even sets in, things or events have a way of leveling up on their own so natural laws later catch up on dishonest people so do not be a partaker. Good luck on your exams

I do think it is immoral. The person cheating isn't going to learn anything. If you get caught cheating you will be labeled a cheater and people will lose trust in you. By cheating your lying to yourself, the people giving the test, and anyone who reads the results.

well I think cheating on school tests, IS WRONG because u van get spelled from high school or suspended , and better do your study, that copy from someone that didn't study and have wrong answers, so be smart and study now...and in the morning just do it and you will see u will be proud of your own GRADE.

Cheating is like fooling your teacher upfront. God bless you in your exams but don't you ever cheat. If you cheat and passed, you can never be genuinely happy knowing that you got the high scores because of that thin strip of paper inside your socks or whatever. It is better to take the test unprepared than to cheat. Something good happens anyway when you try to be honest. It is hard but you can never be wrong with being honest.
