Ok, Sheriff Dupnik, and the left, you can end your witch hunt now...

"He did not watch TV. He disliked the news. He didn’t listen to political radio. He didn’t take sides. He wasn’t on the left. He wasn’t on the right." Zach Osler, friend of Jared Loughner, appeared as a guest on Good Morning America. He dispelled all the LIES about how Sarah Palin, or Rush Limbaugh, or anyone else on the right (or the left) had anything to do with the shooting. Now, those of you who have been foaming at the mouth, hoping that there is some connection can end your vile witch hunt now. The facts prove you wrong... once again. The facts prove your mindless bigotry... once again. I know too much to expect any kind of retraction or apology form vermin like Sheriff Dupnik (who should immediately be removed from office), or any of the lefty liars who have feasted on the possibility of pinning this on the right. All of you who helped spread the lie owe Palin and others an apology. If you have the integrity to bother.

You really do enjoy being abusive, don't you? Nobody is responsible for what that unbalanced young man did except himself. I am not sure about lies about Sarah Palin, though. She did not shoot anybody, but she did place that Congresswoman in the cross hairs of a rifle scope. It was certainly poor judgment to do so, and she should apologize and correct it. Instead, she has lashed out with verbal abuse (again). I think I understand what you are trying to say, in between the invective and abuse you enjoy so much. If you are saying that right-wing rhetoric did not cause this unbalanced man to shoot people, you are correct.

Trruk, Governor Manchin took a rifle, loaded it and shot a hole in a paper that represented the new health insurance laws. If someone tries to hurt our president, is Governor Manchin responsible for it? Think about that. Crosshairs have been used to decades by both parties to emphasize areas where they want to change peoples' minds. Loughner is the only one responsible for his loony-tunes behavior. Not his dad, not any politician or political party, and not his friends or his school. It was him, pure and simple. He didn't watch TV or listen to radio. There are things that happen that have no causes that we can blame. This is one of them.

I think he did it on his own. I do not think anybody else is responsible. If Sarah Palin is unhappy about being singled out because she has said some inflammatory things, perhaps she would be happier if she were less derisive and better informed.

ParaTed2k, I blame a toxic political atmosphere that has been fostered and yes ushered into this nation by those who have questioned the legitimacy of our present government. In an exclusive interview by Nick Baumann of Motherjones.com, Tierney (Loughner's friend) makes these statements: "when I heard Babrielle Giffords has been shot, I was like 'O my God ..." for some reason I felt like I knew .. I felt like if anyone was going to shoot her, it would be Jared." According to Tierney, Loughner did believe that government is "... us over." " It wasn't a day-in day-out thing, but maybe once in a while, if Giffords did something that was ridiculous or passed some stupid law or did something stupid, he related that to people." This particular interview is very long and detailed ... Tierney also states that if people want to know about why Loughner did what he did that there is a diary .. a "sunshine diary" belonging to Loughner that will give that information. In this same interview, Tierney states "he wanted the media to freak out about this whole thing. He wanted exactly what's happening."

Correction: not "sunshine diary" ...."dream journal" ... Tierney stated "you want want to know what goes on in Jared Loughner's mind, there's a dream journal that will tell you everything."

Very twisted! I know I understand all of that ... I fail to see how anyone separates this guys actions from his political differences with the Congresswoman. The federal charges are one count of attempted assassination of a U.S. Congresswoman, 2 counts of unlawful killing of a of federal employee, and two counts of attempting to kill a federal employee. Blaming this on any one person who has placed such political toxicity into our democratic process is not what I hear people on the left saying .. I hear them saying that until we hear from Loughner himself, nobody can state for certain why he did this. But, there is context here ... it was politically motivated, he did commit his acts against federal pols and others who happen to be nearby.

He did it, to say anyone else is responsible is nothing but a distraction and a lie. Quit making excuses for the shooter and the liars.

I cannot understand how they get the idea that Sarah Palin and the right . The Tea Party ever influenced this evil man to murder those five adults and especially that innocent nine year old girl, He did not watch tv, radio, or get his info from The news. So how did they get through to him ? Did they use thought transference. Are Sarah and the right I'n reality evil space aliens? That makes as much sense.

The facts are in that garbage bag he took out and got rid of before he committed murder. Until the day officials find that bag the truth of why may never be known. No one tells their friends everything about the way they feel or what is going through their head especially someone who is planning murder.

Nope, they don't.. in fact, the only thing we do know is that there's no reason to think that this was motivated by any of the things the incompetent sheriff mentioned.

I heard that his dad was a big FOX news supporter and he told his dad when he left "today I will make you proud"....not really but just thought I would get in on the "News". Would definitely be interesting to see what it was he got rid of.

I remember a couple of decades ago when journalists verified facts before they presented them and avoided speculation. They actually had editors that went over their material before it was published or read on television and nixed it if it strayed from hard facts. A lot has changed.

I remember a couple of years ago when journalists said that you can't trust what you read in blogs because no one verifies the facts and there is no editor! ROFL!!!

They won't apologize to Palin or anyone one else they blamed that was not the shooter. You can say it is not palin's fault all you want. You are right. But they won't admit it because it does not fit into their "attack Palin" plan. According to them she is to blame for everything and nothing you say will change that. They grasp at any opportunity no matter how irrational to trash or blame the "other" side...but never bother to look and see how much "they" are a big part of the "problem" of the "horrible political climate".

Read Prs. Bush's book, he admits to being wrong about a lot of things. When Rush Limbaugh admits to being wrong he makes a point of talking about it during the opening monologue (when the most people are listening), Glenn Beck not only admitted to being wrong about something Cheryl Crowe said, he also apologized to her. But Trruk, I'm betting you'll excuse away all of it.

trruk, you listen to too many hate-mongers on the news and the net. Palin did not make an anti-Semitic remark. The left have completely lost their minds. Well, maybe not Alan Dershowitz, famed civil rights lawyer and Harvard Law Professor who is also Jewish and had this to say about Palin's use of "blood libel": "There is nothing improper and certainly nothing anti-Semitic in Sarah Palin using the term to characterize what she reasonably believes are false accusations that her words or images may have caused a mentally disturbed individual to kill and maim. The fact that two of the victims are Jewish is utterly irrelevant to the propriety of using this widely used term." You need to turn off the lies, trruk. Palin Derangement Syndrome has made these people very unstable.

A lot of that goes on, for sure. So here is the challenge to you and all other supporters of right-wing ideology. Name one time--JUST ONCE!- any hard-line conservative admitted to error about anything. Bush was aked what was the biggest mistake he had made in his first term. He couldn't think of any. Sarah Palin was attacked for using cross hairs on a Website. Did she admit that might be inappropriate and agree to remove them? She did not. she made a an anti-Semitic attack on the people who complained. No Republican ever admits to error. Ever. And neither do any of their supporters. Go ahead. Find one.

It needn't be so complicated. He shot and killed and wounded X amount of people and should just be charged. All, if any other details should come out in court. Until then, he shot and killed and that is all we neec to know for now. If others are involved then it will be figured out.
