The governing council of the Indian premier league (IPL) clarifed on wednesday that players will have the final say in choosing the franchises not the team owners.

This is probably the first player friendly decision taken by the governing council. I still wonder though, how they are going to enforce : at least 3 players from en-catchment area rule. It still leaves a lot of room for under the table deals. Last year R. Jadeja got punished for being tempted by another team. Absolutely no action was taken against the franchisee. I hope this IPL does not lead to such sad incidents.
