Whats the Wrestling Name the Miz Suppose To Mean?

I'm trying to give the Miz the benefit of the double as champion...but there is just something about him that will never be credible. Every time I see him on RAW, I do a double take, before I remember that he is the champion. It could be his name. Or the fact that it is his reality show roots. Or the fact that he looks like someone who put on a rented suit and he has that haircut that doesn't look like a champion. I know that's a petty thing, but presentation can be a big part of whether or not you look like a champion. Yeah its short for his name. I don't know, I'm all for new people being given a chance. And Miz is a perfectly acceptable midcarder and has came a long way. He was really, really, bad in 2006 and 2007. I mean, he made the Great Khali look like Ric Flair. We'll see how his title reign goes in the long run. When had a Falls Count Anywhere Match with Morrison, it was the best match of his career, but that was more to do with how great Morrison is. Morrison's mic skills are not as good as face however, so he'll never hold the title. Its likely that Miz will lose the belt to Orton at the Rumble. I don't want to classify this as the failure, but its not the best thing. Miz just doesn't quite look like a champion a lot of the time. Alberto Del Rio...now there's someone who would be a good champion. As for the Nature Boy name, it does sound a bit silly in 2011 but it was a product of his time, actually a product of an earlier time, about the 40s or 50s, when Buddy Rogers was given the name. Then Flair was the Nature Boy. Actually I'm pretty sure the Miz might be a nickname holdover from his reality show days. Not that I'm going to check.

I wondered about his name too. I thought it's pretty silly (and it really is, lol ) He got it from his real name which is Michael "Mike" Mizanin.

I think the reason why they made The Miz champion is because they're trying to increase his appeal. See how you react to him being the champion? That's what WWE is doing. They're getting him reputation and either good or bad, they're taking it. The belt is just another way of putting the limelight to a wrestler for them to get noticed by the fans. It's like when you're working hard in an office. If you get noticed by your boss, you'll get promoted. In this case, Vince Mcmahon might have noticed The Miz trying his best to promote the business that's why he had been made champion. I don't think he'll reign that long though. Too many people are drawn to his being champion that I think they'll taking the belt away from him and putting it to whoever seems to deserve it or who the fans wanna be champion or, like your reaction, the fans will also be repelled by the whole event.

He is one of the "item characters" in WWE.Its hillarious when they introduce him as a champion ... he really sucks.Not even a bit closer to a champion.

He first came to the WWE i think , if my mind serves me right, in Tough Enough , a competition for aspiring wrestlers . His debut name is Mike Mizanin , thus getting the name "The Miz" . He always talk big but but his ring performance is very boring . Personally, i would not like him to reach the mainevent of Wrestlemania . Hope he got beaten by Randy Orton this coming PPV event haha . He just doesn't deserve it right now .
