A woman in Fort Lupton Colorado left her 13 month old baby alone in the tub while she was on facebook playing cafe world. Holy crap.
Needless to say, the baby drowned. She said she left him alone because he liked to be alone and he was very independent.....
WTF? a 13 month old said "hey ma, can I be alone for a while, I got some thinkin to do". This must have been one heck of a kid to be able to say all that....

Hi Laglen,
What an infuriating story!! I really think that when a woman is pregnant for the first time that she should be required to take a parenting class...dad's too. Sometimes you have to wonder if even that would help some of them. My daughter is 24 and just had a baby. She is the best little mom and I know that she has more sense than to leave a little baby alone in the tub. This woman was 34. Like you said...WTF?

It's just common sense. I think they actually do tell you these things at the hospital when you have a child. You don't leave a child under a certain age unattended at all. It takes a second for something to happen as this story proves.

Pathetically, there is no test for becoming a good parent. So many simply do not understand responsibility and accountability at any level. Pity the poor children.

How very sad. It is so hard to be a grandparent and know your "adult" child does not listen to wisdom.

What the Hell is wrong with some people? I would have set bond at a lot higher than whatever it was. A couple of million, and it still wouldn't have been high enough. I'm surprised she's not dumb enough to try and sue the creators of Cafe World because their game distracted her. LOL She seems dumb enough to attempt that.

Oh man, that is just so infuriating for a supposed to be adult to be so irresponsible. She'd rather be in front of the computer than taking care of the baby.
Yes, how in the world is a 13-month old baby able to say that? So sorry for the baby. I hope that woman would be taught a lesson.

I think that this is totally sick. I am a mother of 8 and could never imagine leaving a child of that age in a tub alone. If I had to step out to do something either the child got out of the bath or one of the older kids watched them. There is absolutely no reason for poor innocent children to die like this. What kind of world are we living in.

how could a mother be so stupid as to leave her small child on his own in a tub while she goes on to play an fb game? she clearly has her priorities wrong, or she could still be not ready to be a parent to be so totally irresponsible. poor baby! the grandmother obviously knew her daughter lacks parental skills because she need not remind her about such simple matters if she knew her to be a responsible mother. children do not deserve such kind of parent.

It burns me, if she was so wrapped up in that stupid game, I would gladly take that child.
