The Mirage owned by MGM Grand International has an exhibit called “Siegfried and Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat”. The dolphins are trapped in a concrete pool next to a highway. They breathe in fumes and smog day after day. There's no protection from the desert heat or the winter snow. Seventy-five percent die prematurely.

What do you think of putting animals in harsh living conditions for the sake of entertainment? Do you think that this type of thing is acceptable or do you think that a moral line has been crossed? Perhaps you think that this is exaggerated?? Please share your thoughts on this.

This is terrible. I don't think wild animals should be kept in captivity at all. But if they are, those people who make a profit from this should at least do everything to offer these creatures the best conditions possible.
I wouldn't go to a place like that if they payed me, and I think most people wouldn't either if they were made aware of what's going on there.

And that's the very problem. I don't think the majority of the people do know what is going on.

I completely boycott places like that, where the animals are treated inhumanely. I've never been to Seaworld, or Marine Land either.

The link provided is only to a petition, not a credible site with facts. Siegfried & Roy are well known animal activists, so this comes as a surprise to me. I am hoping that the allegations against them aren't true. If they are true, I would hope that some animal protective agency would step in, and soon.

That is so wrong! I have been to Vegas, but I never saw anything like that! I have seen dolphins swimming freely in the ocean many times and have even had them that close to me that I could see them under the water. That is the only dolphin show that I would endorse. One in which the dolphins willingly interact with humans.
I tried to sign the petition, but it would not let me as I am not in the USA!
