Why do we crave fried creamy fried dishes that cause bulging waistlines, higher cholesterol and rising blood pressure? Before the year ends we have a two weeks vacation and I am surprised how fast I have gained weight. For just two weeks? Thinking back, I remember all the food that I have and the activities I have. I am too lazy to get up early and have my morning jog/walk and I always have the creamy foods. I often deep fried dishes that we have. I don't understand why I cannot resist them. They taste so good that I forgot the many months of exercise just to keep me fit and healthy. And in just two weeks? arrrggghhh

You are right, so many of us choose delicious food rather than healthy food, just because of the good taste. We just can't resist doing this. We all know certain foods are bad to our health, but we still take it. On the other hand, we tell our kids to refrain from eating unhealthy food. I think for the health of ourselves and our kids, we should from right now limit the junk foods we eat. Health is the first wealth and the source of happiness.

that's it!! i got the same problem..i don't know what it's so hard for me to fight food temptation..i knew the bad effect but still can't resist it unless i'm sick...an alternative way that i always do to balance my diet is drinking a glass of herbal tea after meal..some say it's good for our health and i agree with that.

Bluerain- Our bodies crave them because we are addicted. It's not unlike sugar, or anything else. It's quick energy for the body, but unfortunately it has no health benefits. As you said it takes will power. Try adding more protein into your diet, more salads, veggies, and fruits. Fiber also fills you up so try adding in something from a whole grain family to help fill you up and help your blood sugar. For example, if you have oats in the morning add an egg on the side because the protein will help the blood sugar stay regulated. You won't be getting that sugar spike and fall because the protein will work in tangent with the sugar. And, I hate to say it, but if you want to eat high cal foods you are going to have exercise. Just walking will help. Park further away from your job, take the stairs, etc. All of this adds exercise to your day without having to go to the gym. Namaste-Anora

I love to eat those friend, oily food and those delicious dishes too. I just can't resist those temptation in front of my sight. I want to eat them all with my bigger appetizer. But when I think of the final result of it. I finally give up. I should limit myself, and I should not eat too much.

It's really hard to resist delicious foods especially if they are our favorites. I've actually heard from one travel channel that our favorite Filipino delicacies were one of the unhealthy foods in the world like Sisig, Lechon, Crispy Pata, Chicharon and more. Of course we know how health conscious these foreign reporters are just like our common tourist so they can't almost believe how we could eat lots of these unhealthy foods and naturally enjoy them. When I heard their comments, I have realized, Yes, maybe we just eat too much more than just satisfied which causes most of us to become unhealthy on our old age. So since then, I've learned how to discipline myself and eat only what is enough. -)

my dad said once that when he was still young, he craved for all of those food that contains high cholesterol but very very delicious. He can't buy those food because he was still studying and their family was not that rich. and then he reached 30, 40, 45, the age where success starts to kick in. when success starts to kick in, hypertension pops up aswell. Yes, you have the money to buy but you'll be hesitant because of all those red flags it will raise!. HA!

that's why people always say that bad food always taste much nicer than good food... for example, medicine doesn't taste nice but it can heal your body and make you feel better if you are sick while sweet tastes nice but it is not good for your body and can cause tooth decay as well... just have to discipline ourselves and live a balanced life... :-) take care and have a nice day...

Dear friend, In health if take care now, it could give better results in long run. The same old proverb health is wealth is mostly needed. May one should take care of his own and hope he would the apt person judge his own stomach and have food according. The best part to control it accordingly.

Yeah right, because in our time now we must take care of our selves. We must control eating too many, such as oily food. I think it's much better to eat fresh vegetables than meat. (^^)

I agree. I like the chocolate and sweet foods and the greasy foods. I tend to eat alot of that on the weekends but then during the week when i'm working i'll eat healthy. I think it's because the food is just there and you want it so you have to have it. Wish everything could be healthy though but it doesn't work that way. They always say food that isnt healthy always taste good and you want more of it and the healthy food taste not so good, this is true.

Kimchi - Kimchi is healthy
We have to move a little and jog for 30 minutes to use up what we ate.I am planning to that, actually. I started by walking in the mall and look for whatever I wanted.=) I suggest that we add nutritious food like Kimchi in our diet.It is good

It is because they are really delicious. I like to eat them too-but with moderation. It just depends on the person if he or she wants to be healthy. Just eat them at most 3 times a week then eat lots f vegetables too..I do that.

Look if you start thinking whether what you eat is healthy or not you will head will go boom. It's healthy to eat junk and normal and fast food.Because we need that, our immune system needs food that is unhealthy,in order to get stronger,of course there are things that are really unhealthy and you shouldn't overdoze, especially burgers, pizzas and cokes
