if you are a smoker of course you should have a lighter right? but my question is will you use your gas stove instead of lighter to light up your cigarette? this morning the husband of my sister used my gas stove to light up his cigarette for three times, because he dont have a lighter. i just annoyed because why he used my gas stove as a lighter, is that my problem if he dont have a lighter to light up his cigarette, so why he smoke if he cant provide a lighter.

I were doing it all the while when I couldn't get a match or lighter. ha! ha! ha! I can't see anything wrong at all. The gas stove, the match and the lighter are all for the purpose of burning or to set up a fire.

I guess a flame is a flame, now if he's trying to light his cig from a burning house then you might want to buy him a lighter, one that he won't loose.

To avoid hurting his feelings maybe you could just buy him a match and give it to him personally instead. This would give him the signal that you don't like him using your stove as lighter without saying hurtful things that might put a strain on your relationship.
