There should be notifications about new comments

Let me start by saying I love mylot and people there. Discussions here are awesome and I don't regret the time I spend here. But I also think that mylot could use some improvenets and here one of my ideas. I usually visit mylot once a day, respond to discussions and comments to my own discussions. Sometimes, original posted comment to my responses and that's great, because it allows for a deeper discusion and interaction with other mylotters. But while I can track longer comment threads in my own discussions (because of the easy access), I can't do that with other discussions. Mylot only sends my one comment notification, and does that only with the first comment to my response. If someone comments under my comment, contributing something more to the discussion, I'm not notified. And the discussion stops. That's why I think mylot would really get a lot if the commenting/responding system was somehow modified. Or at least the notification system improved. But that's me, you might not agree. What's your opinion on the subject?

calajane its really easy to go to dicussions I made and view any new comments on our comments so why fill our email box up with more a nd more as us older ones already have a lot of friends and just think I have 900 some friends and had to turn comments off as I had no more room in my email box. we can just go to our discussions and see hat responses and commenbts to our comments are there. its easier in 'a way if you have more than a hundred freiends. as it is I cannot get to everyone. and if I stop accepting friends than people will get annoyed with me, so whats a person to do?

Well, I don't need an email tracking for the discussions that are mine. I would appreciate notifications when somebody comments to my response in other people's discussions, where I have no way of tracking them other than kleeping them in an open tab and hitting refresh from tiem to time. And, frankly, that's just time wasting.
