hello chaitra, happy Pongal. In 1983 i went not only out of station but out of the country to Muscat, Oman where i worked for 4 years. It was my first stay away from home and i enjoyed every moment of my stay.My company, which was Mumbai based had set up an office there and i was sent to work in it.The office had given us living quarters, a 5 bedrom flat which was shared by 13 of my colleagues and we were 2 t 3 people per rom. We had a washing machine and a cook also to prepare our food and breakfast. He too lived with us. Once a year i used to come home on a months vacation.During this period i visited New York and New Jersey.Initially i was a bit nervous but settled down very quickly and after that i had the time of my life.I consider this to be the best part of my life and i thank God for giving me this once in a lifetime opportunity because it is here that i discovered him. Enjoy your stay in the place where you are going and anyway your hubby will also be joining you which wll make things even better.

hi chaitra....very nice to know that the company has given u such responsibility...i am not working so don't have such experience...but i have visited new states and without any relative there..when u r an educated woman...you should not be afraid to face new place and people...you will find no difficulty...only be careful when spending money...coz that's the place when ur language shows that u r outsider and dishonest people try to cheat u...so better ask some good person and know about fares etc...rest all will be ok...i wish u good luck !!! I think we are meeting first time in this new year... Also wishing you a very happy and prosperous new year !!!

Dear friend, I have traveled all in States of India mostly in connection to work. Moreover at times if I have give a presentation on next days I would be in my room or just outdoor places where I get concentration and feel comfortable. But for it is bit uncomfortable when I mix my work with travel. Either I want to enjoy my work completely or enjoy my travel well. Usually if time permits I take vacations for fully enjoying my travels.
