Do you sneak by the baby?

Being a father of an 11 month old girl has been such an awesome experience! My wife and I work separate shifts, with me working from 4pm-2am and not sleeping until 4am, and my wife working noon until 5pm. With these shifts, I've found myself walking as quietly as possible around the house, staying close to the walls where the floors don't pop, making a very loud squeaking noise, and also barely ever eating when I get home because of how loud dishes are. Remember, all of this is going on between 2:30am-4am, when the apartment is at it's quietest. It's not that I don't enjoy seeing my daughter's cute face, but sometimes a person just needs some time to relax. My question to you is, do you try to stay as quiet as possible while your baby is sleeping, or do you make noise like you normally would if the baby was awake?

I know exactly how you feel. I'm a mother of a 1 year old girl. I get mad whenever my husband makes noises (he likes to silly sing) when she's sleeping. My daughter is very active, so sleeping is the only times she's resting and I want it to be effective

Our daughter is extremely active too. She never seems to just want to sit and rest for a few moments. It's always go go go. We have the humidifier in her room, which help a lot for drowning out the sounds. She seems to like it. It works a lot better than the radio or soft music.
