Have you noticed that some people are responding to discussions with meaningless strings of letters? They are lowering the quality of discussions for all of us. From now on, when I see this I am giving that person a negative rating.

Don't worry about it. The people who do one word are not making what they could for actuall responses. When I first came here, I wondered if responding with one word would help me. After one day of that, I found it soooo does not. I rate people as + as much as I can, otherwise I just do not respond. I only give negatives when someone is TOTALLY out of line. But I am still learning, too, so I try to be gentle. :) I of course rated you a + for a very good point.

Hi! I know what you're saying. It kind of defeats the purpose and they probably get paid the same as people who are taking the time to type better responses. Try hitting the "!" button next to those responses. That's the "report abuse" key and you'll be taken to a page where you can report what you find troubling about the post. Wishing you the best!

Yes, that is very fustrating. I give them a "-" and report them. I just hope that MyLot is doing their part and giving out warnings and /or blocking people. I guess making their rating drop can be enough though.

U never try to understand that, whenever u give a negative rating to someone u earnings too is decreased considerably, but if u rate it positive its vice -versa

So if I give a negative response, I pay for it also?

I have too seen this from time to time here. Or the one word answer, and nothing else. or the :) is all next to their name. I have wondered what is the appropriate thing to do here as well.

Yes it is very frustrating as I like to read some of the other responses before I comment but when you have to continually skim over those responses you feel like you are wasting your time and go find another discussion to comment on. I'm getting tired of meaningless discussions too - you flick between so many discussions to find a good one that you can be on mylot for ages before you actually make a comment and earn some $$. Argh!

Some times i will reply with a one or two word reply, but only if the questions kind of requires that.. There was a thread asking the first letter of you name, I just replyed with J.. I think we should report the people who are posting with jibber, is their a link or email we can contact someone on and tell them that people are abusing the forum?
