like swine flu as well as mad cows disease.I mean there are diabetic cats, asmatic cats and even cats that have skin problems the same as we do.I know that cat flu is really bad in cats and can kill, it is an awful thing for a cat to get, some cats still live and recover after getting it.Cats also get feline aids as well.

One interesting fact about cats is that their urine glows in the dark if a black light is shined on it. This is a good way to spot cat urine in your home.

I have a cat with FIV. I love Timus, but we have to make sure he stays healthy because he heals more slowly than another cat.

Believe it or not, I've heard of both dogs and cats having many of the same health problems we humans have. A friend of the family once spent hundreds on gallbladder surgery for his dog. Cats get feline leukemia, which is almost always terminal. We took in a cat once that turned out to have that and it was heartbreaking to see her die very soon thereafter. We'd taken her to the vet but there was nothing he could do. Urinary tract infections is something else that actually fairly common in cats. It's very treatable if caught in time but can be fatal if not. The good news is cats, if properly cared for, can easily live to be over 20 years old. Annie

cats can catch most things from us and vice versa. There is even a cat parvovirus. Parvo is most common in dogs but there is a cat variation of the disease. Anything that is alive has an immune system when it gets attacked by a virus or anything like that the cat will get sick like all living things. Pigs can even get parvo so it isn't limited to dogs.

H5N1 is chicken flu. But people got it after that. I think that all flues are dangerous. We need to be in anticipation.
