While working yesterday I met a man who was a funeral director. I had to ask him about his job. It's one of those rare jobs that no one really says they do or you meet personally other than for a funeral. I just looked at him all during the time we talked because he had the "look" of a funeral director. Well he said nothing really got to him when it came to getting through a funeral service. He was there to help the family go through the process of burying their loved one. The worse funeral he said he went to was his own grandson that died prematurely. He conducted a funeral for his neighbour that had moved but he ended up doing her funeral. He said he always looks at how old the person is that passed away because he gets an idea of what to expect from the family, young or old. Wow it's amazing the different jobs out there in the world. Have you ever met someone with some sort of crazy job that no one really does? He has never had any experience as far as training but he had that "look"...

I met a girl in one of the many bazaars in our city's downtown area. I can't imagine the pay the owner of the bazaar gave her. She worked for 12 hours in one day and was paid only $1.80 for a day. She has to assist any customer buying or just looking around. She made the inventory and refill stocks. I told her to get out of that job and look for a better paying job. But she told me, she was new in the city and didn't not know where to go and whom to ask. I pity girls like her who made to work like a slave by store owners whose mind is only on generating revenue.

What is the common rate of pay in that area? I can't imagine anyone getting that kind of money for a whole day. Maybe the owner gave her housing and food as well? How did she get to be in that situation other than being new in town?
