Man Attacks Beer & Looters to follow

When I saw this headline hit my FB account I was surprised at the man who said the beer was "poisoning" his community would attack a shipment of beer. Seriously, there are bigger issues at hand there (and everywhere) that "poison" ones community & this guy chooses beer?!?! What about poverty? What about the gangs? What about the awful schools? And just a blatant disregard for their community in certain segments. However, I'm not surprised at all the people stopping long enough to loot the damaged cases of beer. Adding one more reason to why I dislike a good portion of that city. Help the driver! Call the cops! Do something POSITIVE! Not rip off the damaged goods that makes the looters no better than the man who attacked the beer! Shame on them! http://www.wisn.com/video/26502093/detail.html

Nothing surprises me anymore. But for every story you see like this about people behaving like animals, there are ten that don't make the news because they are about people doing kindnesses for one another. Remember that! People seem to look at symptoms and not the base problems. Sure, drinking too much will have a bad impact on families and the community but few people look at what causes the problem. If they would do that they could truly improve their communities. But that's too hard for most people, especially our government officials, so the problems remain and fester and then someone like this guy goes off his nut and acts crazy.

Your so right positive things don't make the news often unless they are something "BIG" or some big celebrity is causing a stir. Exactly! I know one of the big ones is lack of job opportunity at entry level position outside of retail & food service jobs. The majority of the factories that were here 50 yrs ago are gone. You need a BA to get anywhere & if you aren't college material then where do you go for a "good" entry level job? You can't make companies move back from over seas. And that's just one problem around here that comes to mind.

We could lure companies back with tax advantages. We now have the highest corporates tax structure in the world--why would anyone want to do business here? Canada just dropped their corporate tax rates. Just a thought. I probably shouldn't have mentioned a political thought but I feel it's important.

I agree with you fully. This is ridiculous. Their behavior didn't solve anything, just contributed to the problem.

So true. The news often does this. They think that because it is shown on the news that they are doing something revolutionary or for some great cause, but behavior like this is never justified and should never be glorified.

The Human being will make up any excuse to justify their actions. You are right this energy could have been put to more positive work.

That is almost like saying it is okay to steal from people as they already have a loss anyways. Not a good thing at all. Also like saying well they already have a loss so they won't care to loose yet more. Wow, what goes on during a situation like that, what are they thinking.. Oh I know what can I get out of it. So wrong.

sadly that's how many people think. Not just what they can get out of it but away with. Tells ya how dishonest people are!
