What does your name mean?

Have you ever given any thought to what your name means or why your parents named you as they did? My real name is Curtis, which means courteous. I guess it suits me, as I have apparently lived up to the meaning of my name and have been an extremely courteous person throughout my life. So, what does your name mean? Do you live up to it's meaning? Perhaps tell me why your parents chose that name if you know.

Greetings!
My name is "Bianca" which means a shining fair skinned woman which is not true because I don't have a fair skin. My skin tone is not dark and not fair. haha! I just hope so that I would have a fair skin. :) My parents gave to me this name from a book. And they suit it to my birth date. I also do have a second name which is "Caecilia" from Caesar and St. Cecilia, patron saint of music because they want to be a singer and it suits me because I can play musical instruments and I also sing. :)

That's great, what instruments do you play? I have been trying to find the time to learn to play guitar, but since I have an 11 month old daughter, it's pretty hard to find the time...especially now that I've found mylot! lol
