I am tired of seeing newibis post discussion that will get deleted

I am getting a little tired of newbies coming in here, thinking they don't have to follow the rules, start posting and end up getting their discussion deleted. I have responded to several today, that I know will be deleted, and I as much as told them so. They either had posted referral links in the discussion, or they will ask about what others have made in here. It is just getting to the point, that it is so frustrating and I for one am getting tired of seeing them. It would be a much better place if the newbies would take the time to read the faq[s and guidelines, and not just post willy nilly just to earn in here. We all have to obey the rules and that means the newbies have to do it as well. They will complain because their discussions are deleted, without realizing that they did it without even reading first so they know what maylot is all about. I am also getting tired of seeing discussions on how to earn in here, when the guidelines specifically tell them how to do it. I will help any of them that i can, and if I lose earnings so be it. I just want them to realize that they will get banned eventually if they keep violating the rules. If those that come in here want to just post and not read, then let them suffer hte consequences. All we can do is tell them and hope for the best.
This is a rant, and it might get deleted, so respond at your own risk.

There are also people that have been on here a long time that are also doing the same, as well as putting up questions as discussions, or the so called one liners and i am on about people that have more than 5000 near their name, so it is not just the so called new people.I think that it takes time for people to realise why their discussions are getting deleted and in the end they should grasp it.Noone has got to respond to any discussions that they do not want to, is the way i look at it.I just more on to another discussion. If you also look there are alot of new people that do great discussions.I try not to tarn people with the same brush knowing that not all people are the same on here.New people can make good discussions and numbers do not mean a thing.Happy Mylotting.

You are so right, as I have seen senior members post discussions that were mediocre at best and oh the one liners. ?There are sure enough of them, as i usually just let them go, or I will respond and tell them that the one liners aren't discussions at all. Yes, I have seen a lot of question discussions, that can almost be answered in one word, and those discussions, just don't cut it either. You are right also that some newbies have gtood discussions. I have responded to those, and it really amazed me too, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised as I really didn't expect them to be so good. I am glad that there are some that will take the time to post good discussions though, as that is what makes mylot what it is. Thank you for taking the time to respond and happy mylotting.

very well said joystick! i'm new here as well, not even 24 hours, LOL. but i agree that anyone can make the same mistake, although newbies are more prone to doing it. what i do now is to just read the top discussions and try to see if i can contribute anything, like what i'm doing now. happy mylotting everyone! :)

lol. I agree. I don't rant nuch as I suck at writing it down. lol! I do it more via voice. but I'ave had several responces deleted. I had one discussion I started dieleted only once and my reputation wen tdown but I'm not that worried. Accidents happen and I learned what not to post. but a holiday? come on! that part should go and die. I only wished everyone a happy new year and that was it. ah well.

I am sorry to hear that you had one of your discussions delete. I haven't so far, but there is always a first time.
Anyway, I normally don't rant either, but I have posted to several discussions today, that I know will be deleted, and the sad thing of it is, they probably don't even care. I saw several with referral links in them and others were asking how to earn in here, and that is getting mighty old, as the guidelines tell them how to earn in here, if they would just read. Thank you for taking the time to read my discussion and responding, and happy mylotting.

hi march and rose as one of the oldest here I commiserate while I explain that they deleted wishing us a Happy new year as if they '
let us do that for all the holidays it would be pages and pages of discussions that cannot really be discussed. but I found that I made real discussions and lol snuck in Merry Christmas so and so and Happy
New year . see the bulk of the discussion was about something legal then at the end I wished all of us happy New year.It did not get deleted.
So the morale is make all the discussion save the last ling about some
thing else.then tack holiday wishes on at the end so people will ha ve something to discuss and also wish back to the poster a happy holiday or
whatever.

Hi rose!
You have point to make. I think every newbie should go through the dos and don'ts carefully before posting a discussion. I have also observed this that many post discussions without bothering about the guidelines and we respond to those posts. However, we feel very sad and shocked when we receive a mylot notification saying that our response has been deleted because the discussion was deleted itself. On receiving the notification we feel that we wasted our precious time responding to a post which was not within the rules.

Is there not a way to know, which discussions should we avoid, those which have chances of getting deleted.

You are so right, as I have also had a lot of my responses deleted because the discussion was deleted, and yes, I do agree that it is a waste of time responding, especially when you know when one will be deleted. Now, I have responded to some that I wasn't sure one way or the other, and so I took a chance. Well, some were deleted and some weren't. It just goes to show, that sometimes, what seems obvious to us, really isn't. I continue to help other anyway, and continue to lose earnings, but it is getting tiresome as well. Thank you for responding, and happy mylotting.

I can understand why you get tired seeing newbies' discussions deleted which in fact you knew beforehand and yet you still respond to them just to let them know they're not complying to the guidelines and indeed will be deleted. Well, that's really tiring as there are lots of similar topics posted daily. It's endless, you can't just stop them within a day for surely there will be more the next day. Let them learn their lessons when they get their notification for deletion due to blah blah blah. I am newbie here and had many responses deleted due to responding on such discussions but have learned my lessons and as far as I know am complying to the guidelines. Proudly to say got no topics deleted yet under my name although have 2 topics with zero response as for the moment.

Welcome to mylot Lance. I hope you are enjoying your time here. I haven't had any of my discussions deleted either, and I am fortunate that I haven't, but like you, I have had plenty of my responses deleted because the discussion was deleted. You are right though, that it can't be done in one day, as there are newbies all the time joining, and we might catch some one day, but then the next day, there are more new ones, and so they will post meaningless discussions, or ones that violate the guidelines and they get deleted. I continue to try to help them anyway, even though I know I will lose earnings. I have also responded to lots of discussions that I didn't think would be deleted, and they were. I pretty much know though, which ones will be deleted and which ones won't, and I will avoid some of them, but not all, as I feel that since I am an older member, that I should help them as much as possible. Thank you for responding, and happy mylotting.

Want to correct my previous post as I just remember one topic of mine which was deleted due to violating the discussion guidelines. The particular topic is all about jokes. Well I learned my lessons then and every time I started a new topic I'll see to it is complying to the rules.
I think you are referring to those discussions which considered poll type. It's really hard to determine which one is poll type and not as we can see some topics that we may think it is but never deleted. Thanks for the warm Welcome!

It is nice for a change to really see that someone has taken the time to read before posting. I am sure you will okay in here, that is for sure. Thank you for responding and happy mylotting.

Been a mylot member for a mere few days and have yet to ask any of those questions you mentioned. Seriously how much should one expect to earn from mere discussions of anything under the sun? If anyone's looking to earn a quick big buck, I'd suggest them to try out other online alternatives of money making such as writing articles for various websites. I haven't had any of my discussions I started deleted yet, though I've found a few discussions I've responded to were deleted for no adequately explored reason. One of them was started by, from the numbers beside the name of the OP I believed is a probably a seasoned mylot member, concerning the reasons why a certain portion of people don't believe in God. Wasn't really a surprise there that it got deleted. :)

I have a lot of my responses deleted too, as I have posted to so many discussions that have been deleted. You are right though, they can't really earn all that much in here, and I guess they think they can. If they would read the faq's and guidelines they would realize that they can't earn if they don't participate. I have seen a lot of one liner discussions deleted and also others that had referral links in them. Those definitely are just spam discussions, and those aren't tolerated here. I am glad to see that you have read the guidelines too, so you know what you can and cn't do in here. Thank you for responding and happy myloting.

Hi there rosekiss!
I think you are not just the only person who is fed up with this kind of issue on newbies. It is also getting into my nerves. I came to a point that I want to ignore them because I am already sacrificing my earnings just to remind them to read the FAQ and mylot guidelines.
There are many who are asking why their earnings are not updated, or why do their earnings so low or why their discussion got deleted, or posting their referral links, etc. It is very frustrating on my part too because I knew that these kind of questions are in violation of the rules, but I need to respond to them just to remind them. Though lately, I have decided to ignore these kind of discussions anymore because it is too much. I have noticed some old ones here who are also discussing about the newbies' queries which are actually very basic and can be answered if only they spare time to read the FAQ. I think, they are used of spoon feeding and begging to ask for our help which should not be, right?
Enough is enough, i think...Just let them be. Besides, it won't be our fault and enough for being too nice.
...We have "time" which should not be wasted and we are busy too.

I am glad that others feel the way I do, as you are right that enough is enough. If they would take the time to read the guidelines, they wouldn't have to ask anyone in here what is in the faq[s and guidelines. I will help them at times, but I am getting tired of lsing earnings too, even though it isn't all that much, it is just the principle of the it all. I will help those that ask, but I also them them that the information that they are asking can be found in the faq[s and guidelines. I like you, I will ignore lots of the one liners and those I know will be deleted. It is just a waste of time to respond when they will be deleted anyway. Tank you for responding and happy mylotting.

I think I have only had one disucssion deleted in the four years that I have been on mylot. I have commented on many discussions that were deleted though and that was a waste of my time. Now that I know better about the discussions that will be deleted I do not comment on them anymore. It is nice that you comment on them and tell them about the rules that they are violating.

I haven't had any discussions deleted up to this point, so I am lucky there, but I sure have had a lot of responses deleted, and that will continue, as I will keep helping those that need it. I do point out to them though, that there are faps and guidelines they need to follow and I will post a link to them so that they will read them and know why they had violated them. As long as new member keep joining there will be lots of discussions deleted daily, and it is hard to get to all of them,b ut I try to help those I see from my interests. I do pretty much know though which ones will be deleted, and I will avoid some of them especially if they are duplicate discussions. Thank you for responding, and happy mylotting.

hi rosekiss me too me too. the rules are not that hard to'
read and why should we who do read the rules have to
lose earnings trying to explain to them who do not want
our explanations that reading the rules will help them not'
get discussions deleted and help them earn too.

You are so right hatley. Like I have said before, the rules are for everyone, and therefore the ones just starting out in here, aren't exempt, but I think they feel they are as they don't have to read, as they will just ask. Well, they could save themselves a lot of problems if they would just read, as when they ask, they won't get all the right answers either, as some will give false information. I have tried to help those as well, and have tlod them they are misleading others with their information. That is why I think reading the rulses is so important, as the information they seek is there, and they don't have to ask others, and be given the wrong information. Thank you for responding, and happy mylotting.

Sometimes I think it's a hit or miss as to what topics get deleted, as so many questions that do pass through can be answered as a "yes" or "no" answer. Many questions can be re-worded so that it is more of an "open-ended" question, and it doesn't matter if it's a newbie posting the question or not...we just have to rephrase how we are wording the questions.

I guess that is true too, as thee have been discussions deleted from those that have been here awhile, and they should know what not to post in here. I have had a lot of responses deleted, by newbies mostly, and possibly from the older mylotters as well. I think it can be hard at times to kn ow exactly how to word our discussions, as I had a little difficulty wording this one. It seems, I would start it, then delete what I wrote as I just didn't like the way it was worded. I am not articulate either, and I only wish I were, but I sure am not. I do the best I can, and so far, I haven't had any discussions deleted. Thank you for your response, and happy mylotting.

Well for me i don't care at all, they are newbies...but i get irritated when senior members getting their discussion deleted.theres no excuse for that...MY advise is that you know the subjects of the newbies if you think it violates rules..then don't reply to their discussion so that your effort won't be wasted or better yet not to reply to discussions started by newbies. :-) happy mylotting!

The only reason I even respond to them at all is to let them know that their discussion has violated the rules. I don't mind helping, but it seems that it has been way to much lately. I do avoid most of the discussions that I know will be deleted, but there have been others that ended up being deleted, that I wasn't sure would be or not. There have also been some I thought would be deleted, and they haven't been, so it just goes to show that we can be wrong sometimes. Thank you for responding, and happy mylotting.

You are right but maybe they should try to write the rule more clearly... Or rather to compress them. When I see a lot of text I always want to skip it, lol.
But anyway if you are careful, if you see what happens around you learn what to do even without reading all the rules.

You are right, as when I first started, I didn't read the guidelines either, but then I didn't post discussions, on how to earn in here either. Really, I think that it is easy to see how to earn in here, as I figured it out right away. It really is a no brainer when you think about it.
I learned all on myonw how to earn in here, and I have never regretted my decision to join it whatsoever. Thank you for taking the time to respond, and happy mylotting.
