How often do you post?

For those having their own blogs, I have a question:
How often do you post to your blog? Where do you find inspiration to post as often as you do? Do you want to post more/less frequent?
I'm asking, because I'm having a crisis with my own blog and I want to hear how other do it! So I can apply it to my own blog.

I try to post 5 times a week, Monday through Friday (try being the key word, I don't always succeed) and I do not worry about posting when I'm on holiday or out of town.
My goal is to have about two good posts per month. Good meaning original and well documented, of a decent length, and maybe with original pictures as well. The rest are just "filler" posts, which are usually reviews (of books I've read - sometimes in my life, not necessarily recently - of other websites and so on).
I think it's perfectly normal to stop posting for a while, nobody can be creative 24/7. Just don't let this discourage you, you'll get back to posting when you feel like it.

Thank you so much for sharing this with me. I agree, nobody can stay creative 24/7, or they risk burning out quickly. I recently came across "themed days" on blogs, like Thankful Tuesdays or Writing Wednesdays, where you have a theme and stick to it. I was told it helps with ideas, because you already have a prompt.

It does - only that I get bored with my own themes
It helps me to find a series. For instance, one of my blogs is about ancient Rome - so I write about the differences between some Greek gods and their Roman counterparts. That should take 20-25 posts; I don't do them all at once, but keep this idea around for "dry" times. (In fact, I only did one post of this series, and I'm bored with it already, but I'll let it settle for a while, and I'll dig it up when I run out of ideas again)

Wow! You really do get bored with stuff quickly! I don't know... I try to blog about things that I am passionate about for more than two seconds
it's finding stuff in those niches to blog about is difficult. Because it always feels like people already blogged about it.

I have a blog and can go along for a few weeks thinking up new things to write about, but then all my ideas seem to disappear from my mind and I can't think of anything to write at all, that I haven't already said. So my blog gets updated but not on a regular basis. The experts say to keep posting, but I feel that it is better to have quality, meaningful posts than just something I make up from the top of my head.

with my blog, i will try to make around 5 posts a week. sometimes i might not have time to make posts, so i might skip it or i might just make a short post, like 3 sentences long. i believe if i posted more than two times a day it would get annoying to users. it depends about what your blogs about though, some blogs i like to see several blogs an hour.
