Hello Lotters, It's one of the main reason why I was so out of mylot, if any one was aware that is hopefully things would go for her apprentice tomorrow. Well, here's the story. She was about to leave the school, because she has retired from there since 2007.Happened to be one of the best teachers in her field since every one was asking for her helped and others became successful teachers because of her.but because of her asthma, she was forced to retire because commuting problems. I used to helped her a lot in her Lesson Plans (via PC) Now, she went to one of the rooms and saw a Teacher there who has absolutely no control over her grade II students. she dropped by and discipline the students with out hassle. The Teacher was barely new and had no idea had to teach Gr II students. She was originally meant to teach Quran but some how she was absorbed by the department. unfortunately, she's doing a bad performance, according to my mom anyways. even the filipino pronunciation of words were not in the tone. Just to be clear, am not discriminating a religion here, but regardless professionalism is always expected in teaching in the primary schools. which has gone the drain in my perception now. The harder part is that, She was teaching Grade III before, but NOBODY helped her. yeah, nobody because they were somewhat afraid of her because of her religion, upsetting where most of them in that school were Christians. Ironic!, It took my mom to drop by and the rest didn't even bother. not even the Current Master Teacher. For now, I've been in charge of printing her Lesson plans and making Drawings for her presentation in upcoming Teacher Demonstration. tomorrow, she will be providing those materials since she's going to help her in the teacher demo this Jan 21st. I feel sad that the quality of Education of this country severely deteriorated. my school where mom used to teach used to be one of the best, but now i see a dark future about to unfold. i mean, before you can't send an unexperienced Newbie in that school because of the supervisors, now there aren't supervisors around. btw she's also Laadiegerald...in mylot I am so proud of Her Selflessness.

I don't think there are still those who think hidebound with discriminating between people based on religion. And the more do not anymore unexpected this happen in Asia where the majority religion, actually is Islam

Hello Advokatku, You should double check my country, because Majority of Religion here is Christian. before it was Roman Catholic Christian but with the rise of other christian sects after EDSA revolution or WWII, it's confirmed to be one of the largest Xtian Nation. though, Moslems dominated Mindanao Islands were once it's now occupied christians too. well, i thought so too until this happened.

teaching is learnt through leadership and experience. I would not say the teacher is incompetent. I would rather say the school admin is careless and negligent for not supporting a new teacher, providing her with proper leadership and guidance and monitoring her work. But your mom is simply great and there is only a handful of people like her in this world. In addition I salute her initiative of helping the lady teacher who is of a different religion than her in a world where one sees an alien or a terrorist in someone of a different religion.

Its wonderful that your mom went ahead and lent the new teacher a hand. Had it been any other teacher, they probably would have waited then showed her the door. It is sad to here the deterioration in education is prevalent everywhere. It s of vital importance that we educated our future generation. Sadly, the contrary is being practiced. By placing incompetent teachers in school we are playing with the future of our generation.Schools play a major role in the development of a human as a civilized member of a society and poor education will only result in decline of the society. Coming to the teacher being a Muslim, well it is very heartening and reassuring to know there people who will look at a person and not consider what the person is wearing on her head!! unless and until we develop tolerance and acceptance amongst ourselves we will never succeed in living in a peaceful society!! In all we need more people like your mother to take notice and i am very sorry to hear she is retiring.
