Politicians Just Bring Out The worst In Me!!!! / myLot

Christina was murdered during the massacre at Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords' event at the Safeway in Tuscon Arizona. The church planned to picket her funeral simply because she was of the Catholic faith. They were also going to picket most of the other funerals planned due to the massacre. I was clicking on a yahoo news link this morning that had NOTHING to do with Westboro Church & I was sent to this link for whatever reason. Maybe I was just supposed to see it!!! Now my ire is up once again!!! It appears that a deal was cut with the Church BEFORE the politicians did their grand standing!!! What grand standing you might ask??? It was announced the day AFTER the deal was cut with the church how Arizona's politicians had scrambled to come together to pass a deal making it illegal to picket any funeral. Boy were they patting themselves on their proactive backs!!! I was excited at the time that finally a politician was working toward something good. I guess I should have remembered that politicians NEVER do anything that doesn't benefit themselves!!! A group had come together to make 8x10 foot Angel Wings & participants were planning to shield the families of those who had died from the picketers of the church. I don't know why the Angel Wings group were stopped as it sounded like a wonderful & loving idea!!! A deal was cut with the church to get them the publicity they seem to crave so badly. I'm sorry, I think this is just WRONG as it only serves to validate the beliefs of this sect. I think it is even MORE WRONG for the politicians to take credit for something that had already been settled. I remember wondering why the church suddenly got so quiet & now I know it's NOT thanks to the politicians I so quickly praised. but due to a pseudo plea bargain!!! I have NO use for ANY politician & this has done NOTHING to change my mind!!! WHY do politicians feel the need to lie??? And even more, WHY do we fall for it??? I don't want to turn this into a political pisssing contest, so my question is simply...what is it that makes you trust or not trust any politician no matter which political party you choose??? I'm in search of an honest politician!!!

Lately, I haven't found anything to make me trust any politician. Even the best of them are corrupt, it seems. I don't think they all start out that way - I think some are sincere in wanting to serve the country right, but there's something evil about Washington. Once they get there, the picture changes. Just watching some of the goings on in the congress is enough to disgust me. No one knows how to be polite or even try to compromise. It's always one trying to out debate the other, regardless of whether it makes sense or not. As to the law passed in Arizona, I'm glad they did, but what a way to do it. It's stupid that a law like that even has to be passed. That so-called church should be cut off by their denomination.

Politicians remind me of 2 of my cousins when they were young children. The oldest would go over & talk the youngest into doing something wrong & then when the youngest did it the oldest would scream "Momma look what he's doinnngggggg!!!" Behind the scenes they kiss each other's butt & then on the news they whine that the other side won't cooperate. In reality nobody is cooperating!!! That is, unless they need the other's vote to get what makes them look good!!! One side whines that the other side is pushing through Pork Bellies & it's wrong. The reality is BOTH sides are pushing through Pork Bellies & it's OK as long as they are getting what makes them look good. It only becomes bad when they aren't getting what they want!!!
