What is your favorite time of day?

I live in a very busy household with two young boys. The mornings are very hectic, and most of the day is spent cleaning and taking care of the kids. Evenings are time for homework. I find that I enjoy the night the best. My favorite time is bedtime, when I lay down with the boys and talk about their day, their dreams, and their hopes. It makes for a peaceful transit to sleep, and helps me to feel mentally recharged. More than my morning coffee or tea. What part of the day do you enjoy and why?

Well,i enjoy morning the most.Morning is the start of the day.If i'm happy and feel good in the morning,i assume that the day would be a lucky day and also i would do exercises in the morning because this is a great time in a day.All things start in the morning.Plus,if i have a good mood in the morning, the whole day would be a great start,so we should learn to cherish life and cherish these beautiful moments in our life.

Thank you, for the reminder as to how important it is to start the day wit a positive outlook. It really can affect how we view the things that happen. I used to be a morning person as well. One of my favorite things to do, although I do not get to to it much anymore is wake up and take a nice warm cup of coffee or tea outside, and sit in the morning and listen and watch nature for a little bit. Of course now, most days I wake up to the joy of children climbing all over me. A fun time, but not so relaxing.

Jricky, how do you motivate yourself to do exercises in the morning? I have to confess, I can never seem to make myself follow through on promises I've made to exercise in the morning. Maybe if I start with just a few minutes each morning of yoga, I could work up to more later... but somehow, I always have a hard time working it in. The main difficulty, I suppose, is that I hate getting up (I enjoy sleeping more than almost anything else), so I always postpone it until the last minute, when work requires me to get up. And by the time I get home, I'm too tired to do anything that feels like more work, which exercise always feels like to me. I only want to do relaxing things, like reading or gardening.

my favorite time of the day would probably be bedtime whether its morning, afternoon or nighttime. i am a busy person being a nurse and i work in shifts, so its not all the time that i get to sleep at night. that is the time that i get to spend some quiet time with myself, pray, rest, dream about good things and it gives me the strength and energy that i need to face ever brand new day.

Quite time with one self is always a rewarding time. When I worked overnights, I had a regular shift, it must be difficult to have changing shifts.

Goodness, I don't know how you manage changing shifts. I can deal with odd shifts, so long as they're regular. I've worked nights, and don't mind it too much, so long as my neighbors aren't too loud during the day when I'm sleeping (I live on a farm and the nearest house is a fair distance away, but they can still get very loud). Like you, I'm very fond of bedtime, no matter what time of day it actually occurs on. I used to hate bedtime, since I had trouble sleeping. But since my doctor recommended a website about sleep hygiene, that's been less of a problem and I love bedtime again. I like mornings for the brightness and that "having a brand new day" feeling, but I hate them for having to actually wake up and get out of bed. Afternoons are okay during the spring and summer, since I can enjoy some outside time. I don't much care for them in the winter, though, since I know it'll get dark early, which limits my favourite activity: gardening. So of all the times of day, I think bedtime is the best.

Afternoon is not a time that I had considered as favorite, but I do enjoy an afternoon movie, particularly when the weather outside is rainy.

My favorite time is the morning time. I am full of energy to do all the thing after getting up. The hour after supper is worst time for me. Once I finished the supper, I am so sleepy, but I can not go to bed as I still have many things to do, such as washing dishes, clea floor and look after my two years old child. I also like bed time. The busy day finally ended up. I can have a rest at last.

I also feel drained from late afternoon to evening. It also seems to be the part of the day that the most demands are on me from my children. Helping with homework. monitoring computer use, feeding, and cleaning up, perhaps that is why the rest of night feels more peaceful.

I work on a Stud Farm in the capacity of Chief Resident Vet. I have got about 350 horses to look after.I stay on the farm along with my wife as my son now having grown up taken up his job as an Engineer which makes him stay away from us. I have got really a hectic schedule during my day where in I need to look many aspects like breeding, vaccination, treatment, Nutrition and some administrative jobs too. So this makes me tired and I am not really in a position to work leisurely at my own pace during the day time. Thus my favorite time is between 10.00 hrs in the night to about 3.00 hrs to next day. That is I prefer night hours as I have no disturbance in my work, this is the time I really love to work full hearted. So generally important wok which needs details and delicacy I schedule it at this time. I feel this time is quiet and peaceful and I have no disturbance at all. This is the time when I take out some time for me where by I either watch TV or spend some nice time with my wife and even I interact on internet, if I don't have any professional commitments to attend! Thus though I work day and night most of the work done during day time is rather mechanical in nature and my favorite time remains the late nights, which in fact I have developed right from my student life where I used to study during these hours only! thanks for the discussion,I liked participating in it as it was close to my heart!

It sounds like your schedule is close to my husbands he works about 18 hours a day. He tends to sleep in the evenings between 5 and 9 pm when everyone else is awake. He is a truck driver and the roads are busiest then. It is wonderful that you find peace in your work. Quite and productive work can be extremely rewarding. Thank you for your comment.

i work at night and ever since college i stay up like until morning though i have school. i just love it when it's dark outside, it's peaceful though sometimes dangerous but i love the feeling of sitting or lying on your bed wide awake, especially if you could see the stars from your window. i like it when it's dim in my room 'cause i can think and work on whatever i have to get done with. no people or cars outside. but sometimes, i get really tired cause as i've said i have work and i just want to sleep for the entire night. but most of the time i don't though sleepy 'cause it's hard to adjust during work days.

My husband is also gone most of the week, so we talk every morning and at night before one of us goes to bed. That way it does not seem so bad.

My favorite part of the day is at night time as in late at night. That is when it seems I am fully awake. It feels like I can do whatever I want during that time. Also, it is my favorite time of the day because there is less or no disturbance at all when I am mylotting...hahaha...

Late night can be peaceful. The problem I have with being up that late at night is getting any rest. I usually end up crashing in the afternoon, if not totally miserable by evening. It seems like most people like the time of day that they feel is the quietest.

Aah that will definitely be the night. Especially when everyone is asleep. The silence is so empowering and so enjoyable. Although I should be sleeping but its nice to have some moments to myself. Where there are no distractions or disturbances of any kind. Now I must be sounding philosophical but night time is like a buddy for me for whose arrival I wait for every day.

I like the weekends, because my husband is home, but they tend to be chaotic. I do not always like not having a plan or schedule. although I do enjoy downtime with my family.

Well we share the same favorite time of the day. . .bedtime or nightime. It's the time, when my husband and i could share stories of the day's happenings at our respective offices. It's also the time we get to talk with our daughter who studies in a faraway city. It's also the time we get to watch our favorite evening programs. It's also the time i get to do Mylotting! Most of all, i like it because it's the time to recharge from working the whole day at the office.
