What do you think of Captain Barbell's New costume?

Note: This is for Filipino who knows it but others are welcome for the thread.
I haven't really been watching the local shows lately since the after Mulawin, Encantadia/Etheria,Darna and Captain Barbell, one of the shows liked when i watched it back in the days where GMA 7 were good at it. i know others have different taste but these were the shows i only liked this new century.I wasn't into the series itself but i loved the costumes.
I guess the network realized the CB of Richard Guiterezz was a hit that they decided to make a new series of it. unfortunately, I didn't like the costume.though it was alright but wasn't sure if that actually clicked but am sure the rest will like it.
TOO BAD am using Linux, i won't be able to make a SIMS 2 Movie out of it

LOL at the CG animated costume because the actor is fat. First we have a rubber suit with fake muscles and now we have cg animated costume. If you get to read the captain barbell comics, he is not a superman rip off, He doesn't even wear a costume, Captain barbell is supposed to be shirtless, yes he just wear circus pants and a mask. he doesn't wear tights or rubber suits. Since the point was him being a muscular superhero.
Plus Captain barbell dont have a villains gallery, he just fight goons. Darna on the other hand really have a roster of villains.
Captain barbell is actually inspired from Body builders and Darna is not designed from Wonder woman, Since she is flying and wearing a bikini before Wonderwoman did (wonderwoman use to fight in a dress skirt and she use ride on an invisible airplain.... Darna is flying and wears a bikini during the time Wonderwoman wears a dress and cant fly.

I have seen that in wikipedia since he was supposed to be a super human guy in the circus act that turned superhero and now they have made it evolved for some reason I agree he's supposed to be a muscular hero and not something else but it is ours and our right to help him evolve in into the way he is now. for me, he is more like XMEN for for some reason i like the yellow costume first..

theyshould have chose the actor similar to the face of Edu Manzano when he used to have this role in a movie.

They chose the wrong actor twice.. they should have tried to find a new face instead of that over rated guy who cant act and cant do a decent fighting scene neither.

The costume looks cool although I can't help but think that CB is wearing tights over his underwear. Why can't they just let him wear the underwear and put the tights after it? The CB logo is too big also, the design seems to be too hollywood that he would look alien in a Philippine setting. I just hope that they're going to make the story line compensate for everything.

Well, this isn't exactly the kind of color i had in mind. but i do remember seeing this in the Version of Edu Manzano a little bit. probably they need a new design. but if you asked me, i prefer they should have customized the armor of MR. B and turned it into his upgrade instead. but of course, it's their choice if they want it or not. it's good but not as cool as the other one.

Hey what do you think if they had chosen to use the original shirtless design but just added with a few modifications? Makes me think that Captain Barbell would look like a SPARTAN!!! I think that would be cool!

Darna is already in a bikini during that time. She is a mix of Captain MArvel and Superman. Captain Marvel is a little boy that turns into a red superman like hero, when he screams the word "shazam" we know darna transform when she screams.

gma has already proven itself to produce these low quality films, because the competition is low, especially in barios where cable is not an option, you either watch resurrected shows or sleep..

I agree to this, that's probably why the competition is fierce. and most of the concerts are done in the provinces or places which doesn't have concentration use of the cable. I bet the competition gets any more higher if every one in the Philippines has cable..

I like the new costume better than the first one. It's not really the best design because it follows the classical pattern of superhero costumes but it's pretty nice. What I did not like about the old one is that it seemed like just an armor. Captain Barbell didn't really have any muscles and the only muscles he had were those etched on the costume. At least now, it looks more natural.

No, it's not and i find it very very weird that it could be from another super hero or something. well, yeah, you're right, it was in the costume, but i like that color and part. i don't know why they changed it but i hope theywill still put that costume some day since it was also good.

For me the costume is just fine. The designers seemed to just follow the traditional or the common costume design of the foreign superheroes. As usual, an underwear layout is exposed. Just like that of superman and batman. LOL 
I am not that so fond of watching television. In our household, the most viewed channels are the HBO, Star Movies, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. (CN and Nick for the children of course).

It would have been cool to remove the cape since Superheroes nowadays doesn't need to have one. remember the movie "the incredibles" it explains why the women designer chose not to have capes in a superhero costume. U do watch HBO and some other movie channels, it's rare when i watch local shows unless it is a news or documentary about the country or people in the Philippines.
