How do I dispose of a body

We were at a party last night. Actually it's a little strange because the party was at a friend's house but she wasn't there! Anyway, there we all are eating and drinking when a woman said that the reason that our friend wasn't there was because she knew that there is a dead man in the basement!! I pointed out that there isn't a basement in the house but the woman was adamant that there was and showed me a loose floor board. I pulled it and it came up very easily. Underneath there was indeed a large basement in the middle of which was a table. Slumped over the table was a very dead man. Mostly skeleton and obviously dead for some time. I had no way of reaching him, but I felt that we couldn't just leave him there. But there was no way of reaching him let alone pulling him out. In the end we put the floor back and partied on. He's still there I expect. What would you have done?

I am sorry that is a bit freaky, personally me I would left the house running and never looked back, called the police and have them come and investigate. I don't think I could ever step foot in that house again, know that there is a cadaver there. And if I were living there, it would definitely be time to either rent a new home or buy one. I am very supersticious and that is one thing that gives me the freaks. LOL!!!

Can't call the police as I don't have a phone. Anyway, the body won't tell them anything.... LOL.

Probably woken up and not worried about it. Just pouring acid down there should do the trick I suppose.

I would have called Poirot or Lord Peter Wimsey. I would really love to play a small part in an Agatha Christie tragi-comedy. The police are so BORING and matter-of-fact. Also they don't encourage long discussions about the evidence, let alone amateur sleuths. I think I would watch what you eat before going to bed unless you really need inspiration for your next murder mystery story.

Oh now, *I* am not going to watch what you eat! There should have been an "if I were you" in there somewhere.

Because I dream about this moment every single day of my life. I would have made sure I brought this friend of mine to the party and watch him as usual inebriated his silly brains, and as soon as he got started I would have opened the floor board and dumped his drunken stoop-per self down there so that when he awoke the next morning he could see what his new life is going to be like. LOL

Yeah, I thought perhaps it would be mean, but then I think about all the mean things he does daily while drunk. LOL

Your dream would make a good opening scene for an episode of the show, of course on the show someone always calls the authorities and the FBI gets involved.

Saw the table in half... two halves make a whole... go through the hole... No, wait, that's how you get out of a room with no doors or windows, just a table and saw.

Maybe I could have lowered some bread dough down under his chair. Waited for the dough to rise and then hauled him up. That's using my loaf!

If that happened to me I would, of course, report it to the police and then let them pull up a few boards and retrieve the body. I'd report it mainly so that the poor man could be identified and properly buried. Then I would be sure to build a staircase and door so that I could use the basement in the future. Nice story!

Well 911 is now a universal number. operators receiving calls are actually based in the Philippines and they've just dispatch a fire truck on its way to you at this very moment. By the way, what the emergency number in the UK if you're kind enough to tell me.

Hello pikey. I see the term "creapy" has not been added to the tags - it should have :D I don't think i would have been to pleased about it, and i would have probably liked to either leave and notify the police, or notify the police and then leave.

Hi dear, It is really to be get investigated and need to be reported to the cops. Also, I think this is not a situation to play around and you find a deadbody and also looks many days old. Again, if the invstigation leads something stragnge, many will get affected due to such things. Take care. Thank-s

It would be really good if the body has a proper burial and to know the identity of the man. But you see, it will be very complicated doing that especially that it isn't your house. It would take an authority to get the body, and do autopsy and maybe there will be an investigation like what we usually see in CSI series. If you are kind enough, and if its ok for you to do the hassle of dealing with the authorities, then you should report it. But if you don't want any complications then let it remain there. Infairness to the body, its not doing not doing anything to you, so let it be.
