Pet owner big responsibility

A friend in Facebook posted a news video about a 5yr old kid who got killed by 2 pit bulls and severe injury for the grandmother who was trying to help the child. I feel so sorry about what happened with the kid and the dogs. My family and I have been dog owners for as long as I can remember. I'm not sure how it works but most of the dogs that we had we never had problems. Right now, I'm an owner of 2 dogs. I always knew that animals can understand what ever we say. I believe that as an owner we have great responsibilities in taking care of our dogs. We should be able to at least train them and take care of them properly. Dogs bite, whatever breed they have if we failed to properly take care of them they will always bite people. I'm not a an expert about dogs I just love taking care of them and they've always been a great companion for me. A friend of mine who owns a pit bull was furious about what happened. "This should have been avoided" that's what he says. He also mentioned about cross breeding dogs that greatly affects dogs attitude. Whatever the case it, pet owners should always be watchful of their dog and treat them properly.

Pit bulls are very dangerous dogs that's why I am so scared of them because they are the one breed among dogs that is know for killing people. For me my mom and her baby had a bad experience, but before those pit bulls could get at her baby her mother intuition kicked in and did what mothers do best and picked up her baby. Those pit bulls did leave a scratch on my baby sister they were lucky that we were forgiving and didn't take them to court for not taking better care of their dogs because their dogs always got out and they were even after my dad when he got back from work like five in the morning those same pit bulls were barking at him so he drove into the garage so that they wouldn't attack him. Some owners should really be more careful. For me I am a dog owner my doggie is a chihuahua actually very harmless, but I still make sure to have her on a leash when I take her for walks. That's pretty much what we have to do so that our dogs won't attack people. I also make sure that she doesn't get out because I would not want to get blamed if she hurt someone in any way that's why I make sure that I know where my dog is at all times and I do mean at all times she is mostly in my back yard playing with her stuffed animals.

That is so true. That kid have so much ahead of her but was ruined because of some careless owners. Those dogs weren't supposed to be killed in the first place if the owners were able to place them somewhere safe and away from other people since they already have several warnings. They just really don't care. :( Some people doesn't really know how to be a responsible owner. True and so sad.

I agree. This is not the fault of the dogs, but the fault of the owner. The owner of a pet (especially such a powerful breed of dog like a pit bull) is responsible to train the dog properly. If there is a chance that the dog could bite, they are responsible to make sure the dog does not come in contact with other people without a muzzle and being on a sturdy leash. Wither it is a Pit bull, Rottweiler, or Chihuahua, the owner is responsible to teach the dog, and protect the world from the possibility of their pet causing harm to another person's property or their physical self.

Being a pet owner has advantages as well as disadvantages. You do need to take care and responsibility when you own a pet. You are accountable for your pet's actions to other animals and people too. It can be a wonderful thing to have a pet in your family. You just need to take what comes with this reward.
