I enjoy listening to music...every day! I think that music helps when you are down and also helps to keep your energy up when you are feeling fantastic. The only way that music could be any better than it is, would be to be able to earn money for listening, and perhaps rating each song that you hear. That's why, my question to all of you is, "Have you heard of, or are you a member of, any sites that allow you to listen to and rate music for money?"

Unfortunately, I'm not on any...yet! lol That's the purpose of this thread...to find out if these sites actually exist. They must. Somewhere. Somehow. They have to be out there. Let's hope that someone awesome shows up to this thread and unveils to us all that they really do exist. That person will probably end up receiving a great deal of referrals, if referrals are offered at said site. Fingers crossed.

I'm trying out slicethepie.com right now and have already earned 8 cents off of 4 tracks. Listen, rate, review. Pretty simple and easy. You get star ratings for yourself. You start at 1 star and then as you rate and review more, as long as you are in the higher percentile of how everyone else rates that track, you earn more stars...up to 5. At 1 star, you earn 2 cents per track, 2 stars is 5 cents, 3 stars is 10 cents, 4 stars is 15 cents, and 5 stars is 20 cents per track!!! I really hope that this site is legit, but I haven't quite figured out how the payments from this site works. I know that to reach the 5 star mark, you have to donate some of your earnings to an artist, from what I've read, anyways. Happy listening everyone, I'll definitely be using this site for a long time to come if it's legit.

Hi! I am not a member of any sites. But I love to listen music. Being Indian I love Indian music. Carnatic, Hindi and Teleugu film music. During nights I don't sleep without hearing Hindi film music. Music amuses us . We enjoy lyric, music, singer. If we listen music closing our eyes, that sense organ also helps, listening to music in detail. That gives eternal joy. We can enjoy the music in nature, that is the breeze, rainfall, birds' songs. They don't need any rating. The music of nature is above all ratings.Yet times I think what could have been my life without music. I thank god for giving me good ear to music. We listen to certain songs in a casual way. But some songs r like that which I feel rinses the heart. Some unexpressable feeling in heart. I feel that may be the godliness of music.

That's pretty deep. :) Personally, if I could, I would love to just sit and listen to birds and the trees and nature, but it's -45 degrees Celsius with the wind in Winnipeg, so I don't think I'll be doing that tonight. lol

There is one site, but I haven't tried it, so I am not necessarily recommending it. It's at http://www.paid2review.co.uk/make-money-from-music.html (from England) They pay you to rate music from new groups and that's about all I know. Maybe someone else will know more about it.

I'm a music lover too and I having something like earning while listening to music would be great. I used to rate songs too while listening at Yahoo radio. I only do it because the songs that I have rated high would be played more frequently than the low rated ones. So for rating and reviewing songs that you have listened to while earning would be great. I believe I will be enjoying this kind of stuff. I'll be trying to join the sites from the given links. Thanks opening this topic. -)

You're welcome. It's been something I've been wondering for a while now, and since I found mylot just last week, I though I should ask. I really hope that the sites that get mentioned in this discussion are legit and pay out like an honest site should. I remember rating on realplayer radio and it was the same type of thing, where the songs would be played more often for higher rates. I should get realplayer again and see if that's still available, that was fun. lol
