Appointed as treasurer for a society.

We just had our society meeting just now. This year we had to form new committee for the year of 2011 until 2013. Last year I was the treasurer and this year they reappointed me again to hold the post. Actually I getting to like this treasurer post. Yes it is true that I have to handle quite a large sum of money especially after the members paid their membership fee. I just love to see how the in and out of the money. In your opinion, it is good for us just to be an ordinary member of any society?
