Darren Bent has join Villa from Sunderland for 18million pounds.. I'm surprised to see Villa splashing out so much money on him and i dont believe he is worth 18mil.. He should be under 10mil according to me..
What do u guys feel about this transfer?

The Bent transfer just goes to justify the decision by the bigger clubs to go for foreign players instead of an English. A decent player becomes a great one and good players become world class. For me, no way Bent is worth 18millions. There are better players out there who will cost less. Unless the english media starts to realise this and stop hyping on the "native" players, the national team will continue to suffer.

very true and with the new rule about native players being fielded i guess all english players will be expensive

Bent is a really good player and I think he is worth 18mil. Bent will be a great addition to Villa.
But for Sunderland, this is a terrible transfer. They tried to do everything they could to stop him from leaving but he decided to go. Now, they have one quality foward less and it will be harder for them to maintain their 6th place position in the league.

I think the one thing that goes in Bent's favor is that he has started every club in a goal scoring mode. But having said that I think 18 million is way over his sale price. I think it is a great deal for Sunderland and they can use this money to strengthen the squad.
Cheers!
