I am aware that dumbocrats hate the messenger (WND) but the message cannot be ignored. So the usual response of consider the source does not change anything as there are about 15 other source of the same message on the web. That being said - the Governor of Hawaii must have a very red face: Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health. Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012. Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie's spokeswoman in Honolulu, ignored again today another in a series of repeated requests made by WND for an interview with the governor. Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper asked Abercrombie: "You stirred up quite a controversy with your comments regarding birthers and your plan to release more information regarding President Barack Obama's birth certificate. How is that coming?" In his response, Abercrombie acknowledged the birth certificate issue will have "political implications" for the next presidential election "that we simply cannot have." Suggesting he was still intent on producing more birth records on Obama from the Hawaii Department of Health vital records vault, Abercrombie told the newspaper there was a recording of the Obama birth in the state archives that he wants to make public. Abercrombie did not report to the newspaper that he or the Hawaii Department of Health had found Obama's long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate. The governor only suggested his investigations to date had identified an unspecified listing or notation of Obama's birth that someone had made in the state archives. "It was actually written, I am told, this is what our investigation is showing, it actually exists in the archives, written down," Abercrombie said. For seemingly the first time, Abercrombie frankly acknowledged that presidential politics motivated his search for Obama birth records, implying that failure to resolve the questions that remain unanswered about the president's birth and early life may damage his chance for re-election Read more: Hawaii governor can't find Obama birth certificate http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=252833#ixzz1BUAntuSe My question to you is...do you think this will damage Obama's credibility with the American people and/or his re-election chances? It is very obvious that Obama is paying big bucks to keep his secret...it must be a dilly of a secret!

There could be a lot of reasons for his wanting his records secret. I've had two years to think about this so I've developed a few theories, outlandish as they may seem to some. First, he wrote that book Dreams of my Father, and if it were proven that he had a different father than who he claimed it would be very embarrassing for him. But it may also explain why he doesn't offer some help to his extended family in Africa. I'm thinking specifically of his half brother who lives in a tiny shack on just a few dollars per year. It could also be that there is a different mother listed on the birth certificate, one not born in the USA. Either way, I would not care one way or another if it didn't have such heavy implications on future presidential elections. The Constitution says that a president must be a naturally born citizen and if we have one who isn't, foreign born citizens could use Mr. Obama's term as precedence to justify their own grab for the position and effectively put the US under foreign control or influence. As to influencing the 2012 election, I don't think the birth certificate matters so much anymore as there are so many other factors--the ruined economy, the national debt and deficit, the invasive Obamacare, etc. Those might be enough to ruin his chances of re-election.

I think that Barack Sr was probably his father. What Barack Jr never was able to accept or deal with, like so many other young boys, was that his father was not a great man and didn't care about him. His father ran off, back to his own country and saw him only once in his childhood. The relatives on the other side of the world may be poor but they had one thing he didn't - his father. Barack Jr has spent his whole life trying to be like his father, to be good enough to imagine his father would love him - to the point of embracing marxism, his father's politics. I think the birth certificate would matter in the 2012 election only if it were somehow proven that he was not born in Hawaii AND knew that for a fact. I don't think that the public would forgive him for lying to them about this or for the campaign to paint all doubters as crazy, fringe elements. If he knew and lied, then it would destroy him. Otherwise, I don't think it's going to play a part in the election but this Hawaiian governor does his favorite president no good by continuing to bring the subject up and casting more doubt rather than clearing things up.

SO far that I read here is that it was WRITTEN IN. does that mean someone just wrote it in and when did they do it also I am thinking the grandparents doing the announceing of his birht just didnt put in the announcemnet that he was born in Kenya. I reall think the other grandma had it right that he was born in Kenya and not in Hawaii

I am not sure. The American People continue to amaze me at how they will spout what the MSM says and not look it up them selves. Exit polls after Obamas last election were very disturbing. I would bet there are plenty of people that dont even know this has been an issue. I believe he will still have his adamant supporters for a variety of reasons. But most thinking Americans already dont think him credible.

I believe that as Americans, we are entitled to our privacy. But when you seek the highest office in this country, you should be just a tad bit more open. For crying out loud, my transcripts are obtainable, hell you can probably find my birth certificate as well. But then I am not looking to put up a couple million to keep something secret....

I know I don't think him at all credible. I still do not understand why he keeps his college records a secret as well. I think Mrs BO also has her college records hidden. The initials of our president are very apt ..BO for causing such a stink.

I don't know if Abercrombie is purposely trying to get the "birther" thing going again to deflect attention from issues like healthcare and the economy, or if he's just really stupid. This is a boneheaded move, either way. One ought not to go searching for something unless one is very, very sure of what might be found. How will he react or explain if he finds the opposite of what he set out to find? What if he has already discovered that what he's looking for does not exist? I don't believe for a second that he's looking for anything because Obama still has not given written permission for anyone to look, not you, not me, not the governor. Smokescreen, that's all this is.

Or the Governor thinks that claiming a personal friendship with Obama in his youth makes him special! Probably smokescreen is true.

I don't know about any implications going forward. But I think Obama should personally travel down there and smack this schmo upside the head.
