Hi friends, i am discussing about my classmates, Majarity of my classmates are mainly discussing about their dressing styles, costumes, and other things like movies, disco, music......etc. They are not talking(or thinking) about their family(parents) situation. They are not learning new things how to start the career. They are not showing any interest in learning new things(in this competitive world). Now we are in graduation 3rd year, with the next year that also will complete. Thats why they have to work hard. I always put my focus in discussing and sharing the useful issues which are used to develop our career(instead of discussing unwanted things). But MY friends are individually(personally) so much worried and share their feelings with me, that"how to start their career", but when they are in a group they are habitured to make fun only. How far it is correct(ofcourse its not at all appreciable). In what logical way we can make them bright? Friends once you think patiently(go to your college days) and give a good strengths to your friend ramesh....

This is a common problem in the US, as many students while attending College are still being supported by their parents so they are not thinking about the future. They forget that as they get older, all will fall on their shoulders. What I use to do was simply remind them how they are living. That if this is the way they are going to continue to live forever and or worse. I encouraged a great many kids but not many take the advice. See kids today feel and back then figure that there is no tomorrow and if tomorrow comes they are either not going to worry about it or worry about it as it comes. Silly kids, as tomorrow is too late. I remember speaking to some of my friends Five - Ten years are going to go by whether you want it or not. So what is going to happen Five years and you did not complete studies to the fullest extent. As whether you like it or not the five years will go by. Some listened while others acted silly and never paid attention. The only suggestion is for you to continue to tell them the importance of completing college, and showing them that you are going to make it. See some will not listen no matter what, but then you have those that one day will say rameshchow was right, unfortunately it will be too late. So tell them that, the years are going to go by whether you want it to or not, continue to remind them that you are going to make it. I know you want them to suceed, but if they do not listen, then pray for them, to turn things around.

Especially when i am telling r giving the career guidance girls are listening very very interestingly, but i don't know how far they can follow it? Because their career mainly depends on their marriage(in india), if a good person will come as hubby then that they do anything to achieve their goals, if not....?

I am Hispanic and in the old days this is exactly what use to happen, more girls now get a great deal of family support and encouraged even by the husbands to go to school and further their careers. But then you have the particular ones whereas they still think like this. I know many who at 14 years old get pregnant, no matter how much they were encouraged to go to school. Sad really that youngsters do not take advantage of schooling opportunities.

DIdnt go to colege went to a tech school maybe they talk thisway away from school to relax from the pressure of the classes but they do ned to have goos study habits on learning and letting it stick in their heads. What I have heard is most cram for a test which isnt good if they learned nothing in class. also one reason I wouldnt go to college as most just go to party and spend thier parents money! Pick times to set down with them to study most times and hour or 2 will help!

If I sent a child to school spending that kind of money they better pass all their grades or they would be coming out of there. They go to school to learnand get a career not party al the time. Parents shouldnt think to give the kids full rein of what they do there. PArents that do that must have lots of mney and dont really worry about what kids do. they want them there in school to keep them out of thier hair so to speak.

And their parents may be thinking that, "we were not enjoyed in my young age, why should i stop my child, we will have to give full freedom to them", If the parents are thinking like this, then the results also like that only? What do you say my friend?

This is one reason I love taking my classes online, to avoid the empty talks..As for making them bright? That is their choice. If they choose to have fun, then they'll pay later on. My suggestion to you is to keep learning what you can, and help those who also want to learn.

There are a lot of kids like that who go to college- they go just to go, make friends, and not even think about the bigger picture. It's their loss. Once I get back into college.... I'm not going to take any minute of it for granted! It's all going to be about learning and getting on the right path to a better/legitimate career.

I couldn't give you good advice on this since I did the same thing when I was in college. We study so hard that we want rest and relaxation from talking about school or home (especially if home is stressful.) Work is the same way. Perhaps if they had relaxation techniques like prayer or meditation, that might help them to think more about learning things for their career.
