Have you met anyone famous?

Have you ever met anyone famous? where and how did you meet them?. I have met a few famous people. The most World Famous of them would be the Snooker players Stephen Hendry and Ronnie O'Sullivan who I met after watching them play an exhibition match. I have also met the singer Thea Gilmore and a few other musicians.

I've met a lot of famous people in the Philippines. When I was a kid I sang in a choir and we performed in many national functions where there are many politicians. I've met the president on one occasion. Then when I was older I worked in a fancy restaurant where many celebrities ate.

I've met a lot of musicians. Gary Hoey, Steve Vie, Joe Satriani, The Tubes, Vinnie Moore, Lincoln Brewster, Candace Dulfer, Monte Montgomery, lots and lots of them. They all took the time to have short conversations with their fans, not just hello and goodbye.
I wish I could meet David Gilmour, my guitar idol. He's an incredible talent and the one who inspired me to pick up an instrument.
One memorable celebrity was Ted Nugent, who took my son on his knee and let him shoot his bow. He gave him a short lesson on bow hunting then signed a guitar pick for me even though there was a big line behind us. My son was only 6 at the time but liked Ted's music (and I was nuts about it) and he's never forgotten that experience.

Yes, I have. I used to have a job where I met very famous people a lot. Not every day maybe, but on a regular basis anyway. Most of them are rather boring to be honest.
