People hate Justin Bieber

Ecuador

Hi mylotters. I want to talk with you about this topic. Some people(the most) here in my country, more specifically in my city, hate Justin Bieber. I think that he's a talented guy, and that he plays some instruments, but... his voice, OMG! he sings like a girl. So, people here hate him, they call him Justin Barbie or Justin Gayber. I know is not good to hate someone just for his voice or his look, but that's what most of people does. What about you? Do you hate him? People around you hate him? I don't think we should hate him. If we don't like his music, let's not listen.

Here in my country, there's also a lot of people that like him and his music, but there are also lots of people hating him. They also create some facebook pages telling that they hate him or things like that.

No, I don't hate him at all. Mind you, I know very little about him. Although it's impossible to ignore him, as he's a major heart throb for young girls, and his undoubtedly good-looking face is much photographed. Good looking young guys that girls fall in love with have long existed. Way back when there were theatrical matinee idols such as Maurice Barrymore; then came the first movie idols, men such as Rudolf Valentino, Wallace Reid and John Gilbert. After the war, young guys such as Montgomery Clift; and then James Dean were heart throbs of the cinema world; and Frank Sinatra became the idol of the bobbysoxers. Then came the Rock idols: Elvis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones. In the early '70s, David Cassidy and the Jackson Five caused mayhem among female fans; while Donny Osmond, who has been physically compared to Bieber, provoked outpourings of adoration. And who can forget the birth of the boy band phenomenon arguably through New Kids on the Block? Justin is a contemporary equivalent of these phenomena; which is one which has tended to perplex many guys. While others might want to be like him, and have that kind of influence. There was a time I'd have loved to have been a singing idol like him...I had the looks, and the voice...but didn't get the breaks. He did; and I wish him well.

In fact, Sinatra became an idol during the war; and is often cited as being the first true musical teen idol. In Britain, Al Bowlly exerted a similar appeal; but his career was sadly cut short at the height of the London Blitz in 1941: his rendition of "My Melancholy Baby" is available to watch on You Tube. It's just wonderful!

Simple, he is manufactured. Yes, you go out make music and tour to make money, but you do it to do something of worth. Justin Bieber has been manufactured to draw in people who, will fall for any corporate ploy to make money and itake it from them. Manufactured artists (if you can call them that), are a big way in doing this.

I don't hate him. I think a lot of people are jealous that he is popular, rich, and talented. I like to make fun of him because I think his music is silly but I don't hate him. Like you said I just don't listen.

Yes, most of the people that hate anyone are just jealous. But with Justin Bieber, is a hate because of his voice, and the way he sings.

I had wondered if the whole world had gone after him - guess I was wrong. He's popular among young kids, especially girls. He is talented and is cute, but his songs, as some writers above say, belong to a particular genre only some people care about. Here in North America, he's all the rage in his age group. No one needs to hate him. Your advice is good. Tell your friends to start their own music, or find something more to their liking. Maybe they just don't like the fact he's famous, for his kind of songs.

Correct by seeing your voices I do believe that we shouldn't hate someone just because he is a gay or by his looks or whatever we don't agree, but some people has their own way of hate something nevertheless that is why mankind is complex. I agree with you we have to appreciate the other although we don't like them or we don't like anything about them we lives in the free world we born free and die free so why the hell we hate them ?. As long as its doesn't bother you why even bother, me too don't like pop but doesn't savagely hate pop and destroy all my aunt elvis's cassette haha I realize I live in the world full of color let's add it with our own color then

Hi ricextreme, I don't hate justin beiber, but i don't like his songs at all. It is not something to do with his voice, but the genre in itself. I used to listen to pop songs years ago and i don't much now, only quite a few ones i like. I love to listen to fusion music now and that will always be my favourite! Especially jazz fusion ones. I play drums so i have a interest in a very different kind of music which is quite complicated and uncommon.

Some people just love to hate because they think of themselves as cool, but the truth is they are the one who lacks and seeking for attention. People who hate dont have talent and just envious of other's popularity. I'm not a fan of JB but I do like him a bit.

People just hate him because they could never be like him.

I have read some interviews where he has said quite obnoxious things and it is obvious he is buying into the hype about himself. I don't hate him, though. I don't think I could name a single person that I hate, let alone one that I don't even know!

no i dont hate him ,no one should hate no one especially not because of look , or voice ,maybe he is a bit iritating but tahts all , i dont have a reason to hate him he didint do anything bad to me and i doubt he did anything bad to anyone who says that hates him ,so i dont know why people do it but i dont think it would change in a future
