In the way to stop bullfights

Here in Ecuador, we are Spanish and indigenous descent, and we have many Spanish customs. One of these customs is the bullfights. I do not agree with killing an animal just for having fun. I don't think that killing a bull with a long torture is an art. Like me, there are many people that think that this custom should be stopped, so they organize peaceful protests, and some have talked to politicians to stop this animal cruelty. Now all this protests are showing results. In the next months, there will be a public consultation about insecurity, justice, and some other topics. Theres included a question about bullfights. The question is the following one: "Con la finalidad de evitar la muerte de un animal por simple diversión, ¿Está usted de acuerdo en prohibir, en su respectiva jurisdicción cantonal, los espectáculos públicos donde se mate animales?". I translate: In order to avoid killing an animal just for fun, are you agree to prohibit in your respective cantonal jurisdiction, the public entertainment where animals are killed?. We're in the way to stop this killings, what do you think about this? Any comment is accepted.
