How to produce endurance?

I love this passage. The Apostle James is talking to Jewish Christians here and he encourage them to consider it pure joy when you face various trials. and James knows that through trials and persecutions these are the testing of their faith and through this it will produce endurance. These trials that James are talking about are trials for the sake of the gospel for the build up of our faith in order to have more or to stretch more our endurance and this passage is so relevant to us now. It is not easy to be joyful in the midst of testing. I myself learned from this. I thought to myself that I have patience and long suffering and can endure various hardship but i was wrong. God provided me with a person who is very disagreeable and unpleasant person. and yes,I have but I learned my limitations. how about you? do you have any testing of your faith? and what have you learned?
