What are the top 10 must see places in Mexico City

I am going to Mexico City!
It is my first time to travel to other continent. I am wondering if what places should I visit in Mexico City, I know for sure I won't miss Guadalupe Basilica.
I am also wondering what kind of clothing should I be wearing while in Mexico - given that it is winter time, and also the fact that I am from a tropical country. I am sure that I will get cold easily.
Please share your thoughts though on this.

I am so sorry taht I saw your post 2 years later! I have visited Mexico city several times and I loved it. I hope you are still around and you can tell me what did you like best there. I have so many fond memories that I could not choose.
