It is not wise to drink tea and water and tea, if you are doing then stop it. I mean you can take the tea and water with at different times but not instantly water after tea or vise versa. It gives you cold instantly. Take them at the interval of half to one hour. What else you can do is take a tablet from the nearby clinic. That is all I can help you right now.

I see, yeah it will be bad for your teeth too.Tea is hot then water is cold so it will weaken your tooth's enamel.

Hi, Thanks for adding that information here. I think it is an important point you mentioned here. Hoe is your cold now? Have you got some good medicine?

Same here. I've been under the weather for the past 3 days. I wanted to call in sick and just stay home, but I didn't want to miss work, or waste my sick days. Plus I've been a one-man department this week as my colleagues are travelling. I can't wait for this day to be over, so I could mope around in bed the rest of the day.

Yeah, this winter is very cold, vey severe. Many people catch cold. I drink orange juice every morning at breakfast time. That is a source of vitamin C. That helps keeping the cold away. I would suggest take vitamin C tablets , atleast one a day.

The one thing that works for me is during my waking hours to keep a scarf around my neck, there's something about keeping your neck warm that helps. If you are stuffy try a warm mist humidifier/vaporizer & some vicks vapo rub.

Try some Emergen-C! Those things are great! It's a tablet that dissolves in water and gives you tons of vitamin C! They actually taste pretty good too. I've used them plenty of times in the past and have had luck. I would also suggest eating really good for you foods - so oranges are good, to give you more vitamin C. Also load up on vegetables! If you're not against it, try some medicine as well! Depending on your symptoms there are a lot of options there. I hope you feel better ASAP! Oh and here's Emergen-C , incase you've never heard of it. http://www.emergenc.com/

Plenty of chicken soup! It is better with lots of pepper in it, plus turmeric and coriander powder - as much as you can stomach! Clears the nose within minutes and keeps you healthy if drank regularly during the winter.

Canned soup is OK but put the extra spice in it. Avoid the "cream" soups or they may curdle.

Like they say feed a cold and starve a fever, means make sure you are eating properly during cold, plenty of fluids, and hot tea. Resting as much as you can and even if you feel better do not push your self right away as relapse is possible. Good luck and congrats on the anniversary.
