Foot attacking kitty! - Eclipse sitting on my hubby's foot, he stopped the attack long enough to pose for this photo.

It drives me absolutely crazy because I hate having anything touch my feet! But whenever he's in a playful mood, he will run up and attack your feet. It doesn't hurt because I always wear slippers in the house.. but still. If I'm walking around and he attacks my foot, I don't want to hurt him, and I don't want him tripping me. I hope he grows out of this phase. Here's a picture I got of him attacking my hubby's foot. Do your cats attack feet?

AWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! That's so cute, and he might out grow it, especially if he gets stepped on a few times - Oliver never really attacked feet, but he's bad about being UNDER foot and he has NEVER learned to watch out for feet, and has been stepped on many times... duffus!

Eclipse has already been stepped on a couple times. Still hasn't gotten the message.

Oliver is over 5, and got stepped on just last night, nearly tripped the roomie when, as she tried to get off him, he got even further underfoot

That has happened to me many times. You try to step over them and they move and you end up stepping on them. Crazy kitties!

I don't have cats but my dog stays under my feet everywhere i go & that drives me nuts. I am so afraid she will make me fall as bad as i get around. Pets can be a pain sometimes.

Thanks, me to. I am very careful. sure don't want any broken bones. Cayce [my dog] doesn't want me out of her sight much. She's a sweet dog but worrisome staying under my feet.

My dog does that. Every night when I get in bed, as soon as I'm under the covers, he pounces on my feet. He bites them through the cover and wags his tail like it's the most fun thing ever. Other times I'll be walking in my apartment, and he'll get a hold of my sock. He's almost tripped me numerous times doing that. He's ornery.

I do not let the cats in the room while I'm trying to sleep for that very reason!

I am not as fond of cats as I am of dogs....but cats adore me..don't know why but they do! My sister's cat would attack everyone except me? Go figure! She liked going for people's ankles...but she wouldn't do anything to hurt me....and when I talked to her.....she would go to sleep! LOL

When my four cats were all kittens they also liked to attack feet. I don't know what they liked so much about feet. It was like having a toy to play with. feet were more fun than a ball of yarn. Now one of those kittens has a thing for hands. Nobody can move their hands and not have that cat's attention!

My kitten is 8 months old and she loves to attack feet. She will even bite my toes from time to time. I've learned to wear socks or slippers lol. She loves to attach feet more when they are under the covers.... she loves anything that will move under the cover so she will play with your hands too. I think its cute but sometimes she surprises me and it makes me jump haha

I do not let the cats in my room while I'm sleeping because I do not want them attacking my feet while I'm sleeping.

Memories of Fluffy, the toe eating monster. If we were barefoot and our toes were visible, she would jump up and take a chomp. In general though my cats don't attack feet. They do occasionally try and trip us.

Thankfully Eclipse only attacks our feet when we wear slippers. He'll even attack empty slippers.. so I don't think it's the feet he likes. When I came home from shopping today my slippers weren't where I left them.. each were on opposite sides of the room, upside down. I always leave them together so I put them straight on when I take my shoes off. Obviously someone was playing with them while I was gone!

When I was a kid my mom's cat would always bite feet! It wasn't as bad a problem as yours sounds because he usually only did it when we were sitting. I'm not sure what you could do besides try to discourage that kind of behavior. That sounds like it would be pretty annoying so I hope it works out! But that definitely sounds like something a cat could grow out of.

My kitty did the same thing as a kitten. He is nine years old and no longer attacks feet but he will grab your hand and act like he is going to bite it. The internet says older cats aren't playful but nobody told my cat that. He will put his paw under the door if we are in another room and he wants to be with us and will chase his toy mouse around.

Older cats don't play AS MUCH... I've had cats that lived to be 20 years old and were still playful!

Hey there fellow cat lover , it is probably a phase he is going through , its cute for now but you shouldn't encourage him , just start to ignore him , don't reinforce his behavior and he will soon stop attacking 'feet'

I like cats because both cute and naughty. When I was young,my fater gave me a litten. It has been a very naughty little paws with its catch me, it seems to have a crush on my feet, and has been chasing my feet, catch up on the clutch. Later I was told it was not a toy for my feet, then you gess waht the result, it really does not move my feet. But the kitten to my feet as a line and has rolling the ball of my foot. Kittens grow up not to do so.
