For a couple of years now my hyperacidity has been really bugging me. My doctor has prescribed some medications but i think its not working on my part. I have too many reactions to the prescribed tablets - one brand to another but no go, been avoiding foods that aggravates acidity.I am getting frustrated coz I always experience acid reflux which is causing me heartburn. What could be the best remedy? Herbal? Natural foods? Or alternative medicine?

I read somewhere that most vegetables are alkaline. Fried, Heaty, Meat and sugar are acidic. So you probably can counter some acidity by changing your diet. Also, worries and tension also increases acidity in our body. Lately, I see a lot of water filters that claim to make our water more alkaline. I also did a search and found the following site with some suggestion: http://www.ayushveda.com/health/hyperacidity.htm Hope this helps.

Yeah, ginger and lime. I will have to try that too. Hope it will help in one way or another.

Oh this is a problem for me too. Some lifestyle changes had to be done---I had to quit coffee and soda for good. I also should not eat really spicy food and not too much citrus fruits. Aluminum hydroxide and Magnesium hydroxide often help.
