How long will Christianity

Will being a Christian still be relevant in the future? Think about it. Most people nowadays seek religion as a foundation in times of hardship. But as time progresses, lifespan will extend, techonology will upgrade, and life will get easier each passing generation. When we people already get what we want, will we still seek the almighty? Another thing to think about is the permeation of technology in everything. The more progress we make in science, the more we begin to think in physical aspects and reality as we see it. And lastly, Christianity has only been around for 2000 years, while zoroastrianism, paganism and other religions have existed for a much longer time than that, and they all faded into obscurity. In other words, is Christianity just a passing fad? If not, why?

No. Christianity for me is not just a passing fad. Sure everything you said is true. But no one really knows where life began right? Or when life will end. I don't think anyone can really prove anything despite the evidence that science has acquired and presented. But think about it, we're just really close to the next best thing. I'm speaking from faith. I don't know how to explain this. I guess I just have my faith in my religion.

I believe Christianity will stay forever. For as long as people believe and have faith in Christ who is the foundation of Christianity. The bible says in the end there will only be Christ and His church (Christians) and He will create a new heaven and a new earth for those who will remain in Him.

Being a Christian has been relevant in the past! The technology we have today came from our past and will go into the future, if in 2000 years we have never abandoned Christ, why would we in 100 years or more? Just think of the changes that have happened in the past 100 years...the 1900's brought so much change yet through it all Christians came forward. I don't think Christianity is a passing fad or it would have disappeard about 2000 years ago! Up to the time of Jesus people believed in God, they were looking for the coming of Christ, Christianity has only been around for 2000 years because that's how long Christ has been around. Christianity is Christ IN ME, I believe in Christ. What I do believe is that going forward we will be persecuted for believing in Christ. That will not be anything new either, Christians were in the past, the question will be can we stand the persecution and stay faithful to Jesus?

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on your view point. Nobody knows if the religion is true or not. So some choose not to believe and think it as a passing fad. Others choose to believe and think it's life. Who knows? I'm not sure myself. ^^;
